Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I operate with a digital set up because those are the tools I have. Digital is current and it is how the vast majority of music is created today. I am extremely capable with digital tools.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will provide what you ask for, and I will make your music sound great.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That I can do it from anywhere.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That anyone can do it.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What genre is the project? How many tracks? What kind of sound/style are you looking for? Any reference tracks? What is your intention with this project (radio play, Spotify, etc.)? What specifically do you want done, as far as effects go?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Know what you want out of the project.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Apollo twin, macbook, two studio monitors, microphone.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been producing music for more than 10 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Varied. I love many styles of music, and I have a talent for several as well.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I love rock music, so the Foo Fighters would be a fun project.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Learn how to create tonal room for various instruments.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: My projects range from various forms of rock, to americana, to hip hop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I am detail-oriented.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a broadcast-ready sound, as well as whatever the artist asks for. I have my own style, but I am easily adaptable to what is requested.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I work in broad strokes first, then move down to details. Tone correction, dynamic control, and creating space are the biggest focuses at first, before playing with more effects.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I usually mix in Pro Tools or LUNA, and have various tools I use to craft sound in just the way that is wanted. Monitors are ADAM T7V models. The room itself is treated well for mixing.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: George Martin and J Dilla are two producers I look toward for very different reasons. I range from various rock genres, to hip hop as well.

A: Mixing and mastering.
