Accomplished singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, with a very unique, "can't be put in a box" vocal sound- a whimsical and powerful tone, and have been compared to Stevie Nicks, Jewel, Norah Jones, Alessia Cara, etc. I also use my extreme empathy and creativity to write songs for any genre or mood.
Hi there! I am a seasoned singer/songwriter of 15 years, and also a multi-instrumentalist. I have collaborated with producers all over the US and UK, and have my own music (edm, folky/pop, and country) up on Spotify and Apple Music. I love crossing over into jazz, alt rock, and blues. I also have been featured on hip-hop and r&b songs.
I love to song-write, and use my extreme empathy and creativity to create songs in any kind of emotion or experience, and also write based on personal life lessons and growth.
As a kid, I grew up in musicals, choruses, performing arts academies, and dance studios. I attended a performing arts and music academy, and was in an award winning A capella group at my university.
This is how it works:
- Message me and tell me about your vision for your project. You may attach your song so I can listen to it right away!
- We chat and agree about the terms. After the project is funded, I begin to work!
- I send mp3 clips for your approval and feedback (first ones usually in less than a week).
- Once you are 100% happy with the results, I send you the dry vocals/stems!
I'm extremely friendly and flexible, and will always be able to communicate with you to achieve your desired goals for the project!
Looking forward to working with you :)
I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.

Interview with Chelsea Hanson
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To honor your goal and vision for the song, and to have open communication!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Connecting with people all around the world through music!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your vision for the project and what is your estimated turn around time for the song.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've always been a singer/songwriter, and have been doing music for 15 years!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My vocal style doesn't always fit a genre- sometimes I can sing and write country/folk, other times I flow between edm/pop, and I've also written and sang hooks and choruses for r&b and hip hop songs. My voice also can do jazz and blues, which is lots of fun!
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would loveeee to work with Alicia Keys! I love how talented of a vocalist and instrumentalist she is, the passion and emotion in her music, and how she seems to be a very authentic and kind human!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always have open communication with who you're working with, and really understand their ideas and vision!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work on all genres- edm, jazz, alt rock, hip-hop, r&b, pop, folk, country- as long as it isn't screamo, I can do it! (and I probably could do screamo too, just never have tried lol)
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is definitely my versatility. My vocal tone can adapt to almost any genre, without losing its uniqueness, and I can write for any kind of song without losing my own voice and authenticity.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My unique, whimsical but powerful tone, creative songwriting, and empathy.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to really audibly digest a song before working- I try to hone in on the message, the energy, and the story, even if the piece doesn't have lyrics yet. I also like to check in with the producer to see what their vision is and how they'd like to incorporate communication is key!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm inspired by so many artists from all kinds of genres, but my top would have to be Fleetwood Mac, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Carrie Underwood, and Led Zeppelin.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually work on creating melodies and lyrics for people who already have a clear vision for their track!
