FireFly Studios specializes in high quality audio recording and song production for bands and solo artists. Our studio was designed to meet the needs of major label projects, while being affordable and accessible to the independent artist. We have an extensive collection of high-end analog and digital gear! www.firefly419.com
Let our 30 years of mixing experience take your project to the next level. For a song to reach its full potential, it must be mixed properly. We can mix full track-outs or stems!
Once your project is mixed, have your songs mastered for a competitive, final, radio-ready product. Our mastering combines analog and digital processing, rendering a rich, smooth, wide, and loud master. Using a technique called parallel processing, we are able to substantially increase the density and depth of your track.

Interview with FireFly Studios
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: We specialize in creating strong moods for songs at the mixing stage. You tell us what you're dreaming it could be, and we make it happen.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: We work on a high end analog/digital hybrid system here at FireFly Studios. We take advantage of the rich, smooth, three dimensional charm of classic analog gear, and combine it with the organization and speed of digital editing. A match made in audio heaven!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: 1) I make sure the artist and I are on the same page as far as what they are specifically looking for. 2) I study the song and vibe with it. I have to really "get it" before I can start mixing it. 3) I then formulate a solid game plan of how I'm going to get the song to where it needs to be. 4) I do my thing!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Attention to detail.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When you're tracking, be picky about the takes you keep! Don't just say... "oh we'll fix it later."
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Slick and vibey.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been heavy in production for 23 years. Self taught initially, then I got a four year degree at a university. Two years after graduating I owned my own studio. We are still very alive and well!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Wow, great question. I cannot live without: 1) My analog mixing console. 2) My inward connections Vac Rac. 3) My stereo Urei 1176. 4) My API 2500. 5) My A-Designs Hammer EQ.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Hire somebody who truly understands what you are looking for. It won't work otherwise...
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Hybrid system is absolutely the way for me. Why choose one? They both have remarkable strengths.
