Hello! My name is Michael Lendvay,
I studied at Grammy Award-Winning Producer Joe West’s Apprentice Academy in Nashville, TN. I also attended Soundmine Recording Academy in East Stroudsburg, PA instructed by Dan Malsch. During my studies, I gained practical experience using industry standard production tools and professional techniques in a state of the art studio. I also assisted in recording sessions and contributed to the mixing process.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I worked on a project down in Nashville for a band and it came out great.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on some free multitracks, I'm also working on getting people to work with me.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I do not know anyone on here but I would like to meet people.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog because it has a personality that digital cant fully provide yet
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will do my best to provide you with a product you're happy with.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like mostly working with people and their music.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What's your vision for your projects?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Please be patient I'm still learning but I'm eager to give you what you're looking for.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I would probably take an 1176, La-2a, UAD Volt 476, a tape machine, and a pair of Yammaha hs8.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: My career path was Audio engineering and I've been doing this for over a year since I was in Highschool.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: 60s garage rock, a very natural sound.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: An artist would I like to work with is Greta Van Fleet because I feel that they're starting to find their sound and I'm really liking it so far.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I typically work on Rock, Folk rock, Folk, Singer-songwriter, and country rock.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is writing instrumental parts of music.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I play chords on Guitar, Piano, or Organ then I come up with words for the song.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a Teac 3340, Presonus studio live 32sx, Hairball audio 1176 "bluey" Lindell audio 18sx, and a Soundcraft 200 BVE.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Other music production professionals that inspire me are jeff lynne and his production on The Idle Race, Ray Davies, and Rod Argent.
