It's been wonderful to work with Adam, very easy to communicate with him, a great taste in mixing. The mix he delivered was really great sounding and, he carefully listened to my requests for minor modifies and he successfully met them. Totally satisfied with his work, highly recommended.

A fast and fantastic mix was provided for The Deadbeat Apostles' new single, Helena Drive. We asked for something that sounded like it could get played on the radio and that is what we got :)

Adrian has been amazing to work with. He has obviously mixed for some absolute legends, and the quality I received is no different. Adrian seems to really care about the song, not only delivering an amazing mix but also adding his creative input.
He is an EXTREMELY easy guy to communicate and work with as well. Very patient, explains things in an easy to understand way, gives a timeline and sticks to it, just an absolute pleasure to work with all around.
I will request Adrian again for sure!

Adrian is clear, knowledgable, and kind. Everything you'd want in a producer and mixing engineer. This was my first time working with him and using SoundBetter, and my experience was quick and seamless. I have never had a song more "radio ready" and appreciate the communication and feedback throughout the process. Also he can make a mix sound like everyone is in the same room! AWESOME.
Simply one of the best. Love working together whenever the chance arises.
Adrian is an incredible mixer. He has worked on many of my albums and singles over the years and has played an invaluable part in them . Adrian is very knowledgeable always pays great attention to detail and really listens to the artists' vision while also bringing his own fresh approaches and innovative ideas to the mix. Highly recommend!
Adrian is my favourite UK mix engineer. His mixes have grit, edge, depth, quality of sound, whilst retaining dynamics. They can smash FM radio but they also have the teeth/damage I need. I have worked with Adrian for over 20 years - I send productions to him as first stop because I need it done right. No messing around. CLA, JJP, yeah they have that West Coast thing - Adrian has the cross US/UK sound which is so rare to find. Gonna hit you up soon my man.
Consummate professional. I worked with Adrian many moons ago on a major label mixing project. This was at a time when I was fortunate enough to work with many bona fide mixers and producers. Set against this backdrop of ego and hubris (myself included!) Adrian was refreshingly calm and humble. Here's the thing: over time, most people can learn a trade, but without the personality traits to bring empathy and humanity to the workflow, success is harder (imho). Adrian remains generous with his knowledge, and is someone I will turn to for wisdom and advice.
Since I began working with Adrian he has been nothing but a joy; not only as an easy-going person, but also as a brilliant mixing engineer. His touch is detailed and sensitive, and his expertise will elevate your music. You will hear what you've been working on for years with fresh ears.
I've had the immense pleasure of working with Adrian on various projects over the last ten years. He is my go-to mix engineer without a doubt for any song I produce. He is professional, reliable, insanely talented and works with you to deliver the best mix/sound for your project. He is a master at his art and makes every mix process enjoyable, and the results speak for themselves. Interactions with Adrian are without ego and he communicates clearly throughout every step of the process. It's a no-brainer choosing to work with Adrian and I can't recommend his services highly enough!
“We worked with Adrian on our first EP. He was really supportive at an early stage in our journey, we had fun exploring outside the box and he was always up for leaning into creating something new and unique”
Adrian has completed several mix projects for me and always delivers brilliant results, beautiful mixes with great care taken over every instrument and perfectly placed vocals? A master of the craft.
Adrian has worked on a number of projects for the artists I represent. One thing that really stands out is how he gets so close to the definitive mix on a first pass. He really listens to what's required, and then very sympathetically delivers a mix that's spot on but with a degree of creativity sprinkled on top to take it into an even better realm.
Adrian has been mixing and mastering my music for the past 2 years and it has completely transformed my sound. Every track he works on sounds super crisp, clear and powerful. He really pays attention to detail in his mixes and is always extremely patient! I can't think of anyone else I would trust to get my tracks ready for distribution. So happy to have been recommended Adrian!
He is the best engineer and producer. All the work he's done, I'm 100% satisfied. He is exceptional when it comes to boosting and uplifiting the artist's talent. Thank you, Adrian. Love to work with you again and again and again.
Adrian is a brillian producer/engineer. Our band Love X Stereo had the priviliege to work with him many times. We were quite hopeless because we couldn't find a person who can actualize our sound here in Seoul. But luckily, we get to work with him, and our initial thoughts were, 'wow, we were not wrong', because we could hear our vision being fulfilled in real time, and it was such an amazing experience. Recently, he's done our Dolby mix/master which got picked up by K-Pop: Dolby Atmos playlist via Tidal. He is a master of his craft, super fast, almost like a mindreader.
I've used Adrian Hall as a mix engineer on many varied projects for many years. He is an absolute pro. His communication is great. His gear is enviable. His mixes just sound brilliant. Mostly what I love is that you can tell he is working to a high level of detail. That makes such a difference when you've been pouring all your energy into a production and you know that Adrian will be doing exactly the same!
Adrian is an excellent mixer, considerate to the artists desires and approaches each project with an enthusiasm and nuance to achieve wonderful results.
Looking forward to working with him again!
Tim, Transgressive RecordsI have worked with Adrian frequently over the last 25 years. He is a consummate professional with impeccable taste. He brings quality to everything he does but in addition, he has an understanding of producers and artists which makes a session run smoothly and successfully. I recommend Adrian highly for all production, mixing and recording scenarios.
Interview with Adrian Hall
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I always ask an artist to give me a list of references for where they think their music sits, so that I can try and understand what they want their music to sound like. Ultimately, I am trying to deliver the sound that they hear in their head come out of the loudspeakers, which is not always an easy thing to do! I want to try and understand how their influences and their processes have shaped the multitrack that they have sent me to work on.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I was among the last generation of engineers who trained on analog tape, and I did the traditional route of starting as a tape op or "tea boy" and working my up through the big studio system. I starting work in studios in 1997, and it was during my time training as an assistant at Metropolis Studios in London that I saw the transition from most sessions coming in on 48-track analog to sessions using mostly Pro Tools.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My own studio is based around a Pro Tools HDX setup with 24 i/o for interfacing with lots of analog outboard and guitar pedals, which I love to use to add colour. I have a small booth with a drum set always mic'ed up and ready to go, as well as a selection of guitar amps and a couple of great vocal mic's. My monitoring is mainly on Genelec 8351b's, but I have a selection of other monitors and headphones for checking mixes, and a full 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos system (also using Genelec's).
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The vast majority of my work is mixing, or doing additional production and mixing to finish tracks. And I do complete productions from scratch, too!
