About me: Toronto based singer-songwriter, who has been building a reputation as a true visionary in the music scene since a very young age. Starting out performing as a cover singer, I quickly found my unique sound that helped me create original vocals and production for myself and others. Throughout my whole life I've been performing on various stages, attended vocal contests, composed and produced my own music and collaborated with other music artists. I am able to come up with a close sounding of your vocal reference or create a unique atmospheric top line for your track.
Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.
Interview with Polina Rox
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: The architect of emotion translates into a crafted music story to touch the hearts of those who listen.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My typical work process consists of six simple steps: ONE. I start with listening. Listening to the track and listening to its frequencies. I keep in mind all the personalized project details and check if there's any music reference attached. It always helps me understand what the artist I work with is looking for. TWO. Once I catch the vibe I start brainstorming my melody by recording multiple samples in my project session. These short music ideas eventually turn into a final melody followed by lyrics creation. Lyrics can be related to any certain topic or object or you can leave it up to me and review it once the project is finalized. THREE. Recording. I set up a recording environment with proper acoustic treatment and a high-quality music gear. I start with capturing multiple takes for the lead vocals, selecting, editing and comping the best parts and ensuring proper timing and pitch. FOUR. No doubt, this is my favourite part of the recording process... spicing it up with some backing vocals! It includes harmonies, counter-melodies, or layered vocals that complement the lead; you can always opt out of backing vocals if you don't find it necessary or relevant to your project. FIVE. Processing and adding effects. It involves equalization (EQ), compression, reverb, delay, and other effects to shape the vocals' tone, dynamics, and spatial characteristics. SIX. Mixing and mastering. I ensure that each element is well balanced, clear, and sits nicely within the overall mix. If you prefer raw stems, let me know in advance:)

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Even though I create vocals for multiple genres, electronic music inspires me the most. Melodic techno, Bass House, Dubstep, Liquid Drum and Bass, Glitch Hop... the list is countless. My top artists that I look up to are Zhu, Clozee, Fred Again, Lane 8, mossy, Ekali, ODESZA, Ben Bohmer, Taiki Nulight, Zeds Dead... All these artists are different from each other, but each and every one creates the mesmerizing synthesis of electronic layers and textures that embrace the infinite possibilities of sound manipulation. Don't believe me? Then check out those artists.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: For many years I helped various music artists create vocal parts for their tracks. I do everything that has to do with songwriting: from creating captivating melodies, catchy hooks and compelling lyrics, pitch correction, vocal tunning and to making a brand-new song from scratch. I put a lot of effort in every single project I become a part of and always help elevate a song to its full potential. With a keen understanding of current musical trends and a knack for crafting melodies that resonate with listeners, I bring an undeniable energy and commercial appeal to any music track.
