My name is Dan, I specialize in music mastering, and I am here to assist you in your musical journey by mastering your next track! We all want our masters to be wide, punchy, and awesome! But in order for this to happen, the mix has to have these elements too! The master can only be as good as your mix, so please ensure that you have properly panned your musical instruments, and set the levels as desired. If you are not 100% sure the mix is THE mix, then hold off on mastering until you are 100% sure the mix is the best it can possibly be!
As a mastering engineer I am responsible for preparing and submitting files with these goals in mind.
The master should sound good across a wide range of systems (laptop speakers, earbuds, hi-fi systems, etc.).
The master should sound like a finished product.
The master should meet technical specifications presented by labels / artists.
The master should be able to compete commercially in the market.
The master must not sound worse than the mix.
Above all, YOU should be happy with the final product!
