Interview with Peter Russo
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I worked on a record by Brunch on Mars called “Beyond the Light.” I am proud of it because it connects with people.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Hybrid. Neither is perfect
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To keep the integrity of your song while enhancing it.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The creative aspect and meeting new people.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Production and Editing are separate aspects of song creation. People think its all the same thing.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is the end goal for this record?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be as real in your songs as possible, everything else will follow.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My Computer, An Apollo Twin, An Ableton Push, A guitar, and a Mic.

A: Graduated from Berklee College of Music, Worked as a runner at Jungle City Studios, and I am currently a Live Sound Engineer at Rockwood Music Hall. I also run my own Freelance Company

A: Pop with influences in 90’s and ‘00s Hip Hop, Future Bass (EDM), and Rock (70’s and 90’s)
