Interview with Zoë Fisher
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: After graduating Interlochen Arts Academy (an international arts boarding high school) in 2014, I spent two years studying songwriting, performance, and music production and engineering at Berklee College of Music. However, I have been involved in music since I was a kid. From guitar, piano, and voice lessons, to musicals, to traveling with an internationally competitive choir, my life has always revolved around my passion for singing.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to write with John Mayer. I feel like I could learn a lot from him lyrically.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: All types of Pop. Indie/Pop, Electro/Pop, and RnB/Pop are just a few. I love most music!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Melody has always been my strength. I love words too... there's nothing like a good lyric. But I have a highly trained ear so nothing gets me as excited as does a strong melody. I am a classically trained vocalist as well so I can sing most anything that is given to me.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: As a songwriter, I'm inspired mostly by Coldplay, John Mayer, Sia, Imogen Heap, Jon Bellion, Phil Collins, and Ellie Goulding.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: For past clients, I have: written songs, written + recorded top-lines for beats, written vocal arrangements, and recorded demo vocals.
