Siobhan Cassidy Robinson, born to Sean and Shunda Robinson in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in Arlington, Texas. Originally trained in visual art, Cassidy took an interest in music at a very young age and continued with it after high school graduation.
She initially attended a Christian Academy for 4 years until her parents transferred her to the city’s public school district for elementary, junior high, and high school. At the elementary level, Cassidy learned cello in her school’s orchestra and continued with orchestra for years after. After high school graduation, Cassidy intended to major in Arts and Performance at UT Dallas, but was soon signed to Berklee College of Music as a film scoring major.
She has played in various gigs for weddings, private events and an orchestral performance. Her performance experience includes placing a seat in the Region 5 Orchestra, Area and All State Auditions, and the Arlington Youth Symphony. She was the principal cellist of her high school and youth orchestra, and later became the president and co principal of the UT Dallas Symphony Orchestra. In Richardson and Arlington, she even taught cello lessons to middle school students for a year and a half and continues with the All City Strings as a cello instructor in Boston. At Berklee, she participates in the Symphony Orchestra and plays in various recording sessions.
