Ive had the opportunity to work with and shared the stage with bands/artists such as Carly Rae Jepsen, Gavin Degraw, Mr. Hudson, John Butler Trio, and many more. Most recently, I was on this last season of "America's Got Talent" on NBC helping cultivate and playing with the artists on the show. Three of my artists made it to the Finals.
Singer/songwriter Mike Scala was born in Brooklyn, New York and has been a presence in the underground indie rock scene performing at venues across the world including Bowery Ballroom (NYC), Whelan’s (Dublin), The Espy (Australia), and The Troubadour (UK). Known for his sense of adventure, he also set a “World Record” performing a world’s first concert in the Franz Josef Glacier on the South Island of New Zealand which gained the attention of international media and have been featured on National TV stations such as RTE and ABC across the world. Scala was also recently scouted by “America’s Got Talent” on NBC to be on the show as a guest artist and work with the contestants on the show.
In Oct. 2015, while touring Europe, Scala was scouted by Rome Thomas (Maroon 5, Rage Against the Machine, Incubus) who brought him to a number of the industry’s top producers after seeing his talent and dedication. After hearing Scala’s last single, “Stratosphere”, and some unreleased demos, Multi-Platinum Producer Matt Squire (Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Max Martin) offered Scala a deal which he later accepted for the release of his new album. The new album is due out in 2017 and includes collaborations with Tokyo Police Club and the Ed Sheeran and 21 Pilots Team.
