Anthony Young is a Recording/Mixing Engineer, and Music Producer from the Greater Toronto Area. Since he was young, Anthony has always had a passion for music.

Anthony has had the pleasure of either mixing, engineering and producing artists and bands such as Mike Reno (Loverboy), Ryan Lindsay, Crown Lands, Daria Gimon, Ethan Lovell, The Toronto All-Star Big Band, Naya Liviah, and many more. Anthony has also had the pleasure of working alongside industry professionals such as Brian Moncarz, David Bottrill, Ian Bodzasi, Josh Bowman, Phil Hotz, Moe Berg, Rob Nation, Rob Laidlaw, Dale Russel and David Chester, just to name a few.

Anthony is also a Contract Recording Engineer for Universal Music Canada at their studio 80A in Toronto.

Interview with Anthony Young

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I primarily do tracking and mixing. Usually when I'm tracking, I'm also editing as well go along to make things easier down the road
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: For Mixing, digital because its way easier to recall a mix for any revisions or additional deliverables as opposed to recalling a full analogue mix. For recording, analog gear into Pro Tools. Hard drive space is way less expansive than tape nowadays.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will do everything I can to give you the highest quality end result.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I primarily work on Pop, Country, Jazz, Pop Rock, R&B, Singer/Songwriter, Folk and some Alternative Rock
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Bringing a client's vision to life through high quality recording and detail oriented mixing
