I am an Indie Pop Producer and Mixing Engineer dedicated to helping artists discover their unique sound, whilst crafting innovative soundscapes that elevate their music.

My name is Aeden Mckinnon.
I am a producer from Sydney focusing on Indie Pop Production and Mixing whilst also producing Hip Hop and EDM. I have been producing for the past 8+ years and have focused my attention on creating soundscapes that provoke emotion and connection. My work takes influence from Hip Hop, EDM, Pop and Indie styles of music amongst other genres. I have produced work for independent artists such as Plu Mera and Silky Smoothies - working closely with them to achieve their vision. I love to work with artists who are looking to develop their sound and create unique lanes for themselves.

  1. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  2. A: I would ask for their initial idea and what they want to achieve with their project, some reference tracks that inspires them and anything else that could help to see out their project.

  3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  4. A: Be open with your ideas and expectations for the project your are working on.

  5. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  6. A: My Laptop, Audio Interface, Tele, Monitors and a SM57 (bulletproof)

  7. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  8. A: I have been playing and loving music since I was a small kid and have been producing since 2015. I studied music production in 2019 and have now moved into more collaboration.

  9. Q: How would you describe your style?

  10. A: My style is making the bedroom artist sound as if they have recorded in the best of studios.

  11. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  12. A: I would love to work with any artist who wants to create great music and enjoy the process along the way.

  13. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  14. A: Don't get in the way of yourself and overthink your ideas. Let them flow and try different things everyday.

  15. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  16. A: I general work on Indie styled music but also love working on Hip Hop and EDM styled tracks.

  17. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  18. A: Being able to enhance the ideas of the artist I work with and having the patience to work with them closely to see their visions come to life.

  19. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  20. A: I believe I bring a sense of contrast to the music I work on. Blending heavier gritty aspects of the song with brighter elements. I am able to see the importance of small ideas and how they can contribute to a songs overall feel.

  21. Q: What's your typical work process?

  22. A: Setting up my projects so I can seamlessly move between the production stage to the mixing.

  23. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  24. A: My studio set up is a simple but effective one. I'm a completely in the box producer but play guitar, bass and some keys.

  25. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  26. A: I am inspire by plenty of different musicians and producers who have created a unique sound for themselves such as Porter Robinson, Joji, The Japanese house, Jack Antonoff, Flume, Kenny Beats and Fontaines DC.

  27. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  28. A: The most common work I do for clients would be collaborating closely with them on the production, writing and mixing - letting them lead the way and help in the best ways I can.

Production and Mixing - 5 Free Revisions + $50 per Revisions after the initial 5 Free Revisions.
Mastering - 3 Free Revisions + $25 per Revisions after initial 3 Free Revisions.
