Inspired by many great pianists, I aim to bring the best in the work I do.
Hello, my name is Norcy. I've been a professional pianist for over 10 years, and I already have some freelance projects and experiences under my belt, meaning that I'm very experienced in working with others. I've had many experiences as a musician, particularly as a piano player. I've had the opportunity to work with many talented people over the course of 10 years. Those experiences helped me grow my skills, and I'm still continuing to sharpen them.
I'm offering my services on SoundBetter as a session pianist. I can play as an accompanist, arrange a piano cover, or compose a piano song. I can also create melodies for an existing song.
Very creative, I aim to bring my best to each project I work on.
I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.
Interview with Norcy
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been playing the piano for over 10 years. I've had many teachers and studied many fields like music theory, reharmonisation, etc. I've been a church piano player, a band/singer accompanist, and a piano solo performer.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly pop music. But I've been working on many genres, such as jazz, gospel, and rock.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Musicality. I'm a very musical person; I love music, and I have a very sharp ear and a great sense of rhythm.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Soul. I bring my best to each project, trying to find the best sound to bring life to their song. I privilege collaborative work, and client satisfaction is my priority.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a Yamaha digital piano, and I connect it to a PC through MIDI USB. I'm using VSTs to get high-quality and realistic piano/keyboard sounds (grand piano, upright piano, rhodes, etc.).
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Peter Bence, an exceptional musician and arranger, inspired me to pursue my piano career.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The work I do the most is playing piano accompaniment for a song that needs a new piano track with my personal playing style, arranging and recording a piano cover, and composing ambient piano music or a full piano song.
