Prashant Rajmanohar Badugu (born January 11) professionally known as Prashant, is a Musician, Music Producer, Sound Designer, Sound Editor, Sync Sound Recordist & Sound Engineer from Mumbai City. He has produced singles for a number of prominent artists as well as for upcoming artists in a variety of genres, ranging from R&B and hip hop to pop and gospel, also he has worked with many Bollywood Musicians, Currently he is working for Drums Sivamani who is known as Percussionists Maestro & a band member from A.R Rahman Group. Prashant, who is a singer, songwriter, rapper and entrepreneur, is also the founder and CEO of RapBasement Production, Music Maniac Mafia Group and Salina Music Production. He is the grandson of late Shri Suryanarayan Badugu who was the founder of Raj Electro Platers an electroplating company based in Mumbai. Prashant's mom Anusuya Badugu has been his backbone through his thick and thin situations, she always guided him and supported him in his failures which boosted him to pursue his dreams. He holds a Strong background in the field of Hip-Hop. Prashant taught himself how to play the piano and other musical instruments. He developed the ability to recite music, as well as arrange chords to create songs. Prashant released his first mixtape Loved to be hated in 2012 than Tears of Pain and My world my way. He subsequently recorded his 2013 mixtape.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I did a song for an NGo, I produced the track, recorded and even mixed it.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on an Ep.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: No
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog and digital both. Analog it give a warm sound but the process is kinda long. Digital cause it's easy to apply and save.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Quality

A: I keep learning.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How much do you charge for music production or mixing. I say it depends over the client if he/she willing to pay.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: We don't get paid.

A: What qualities are you in looking forward to in the track.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Honesty during the work process to build up a better relationship for future work flow.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, headphone, sound card, midi keyboard and a mic.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: My path started as a music producer than along with it I started to mix tracks for artists, it's been 15years I am in this profession.

A: Unique
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Apache Indian, he was the 1st Indian-UK reggae artist who had set a Groove in his track with his slang.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When you produce a song give space to the instruments you keep adding to the track.

A: Mixing

A: I shade the feeling into the track when I produce or mix.

A: I have a Mix Board, Rme sound card, Genelec Monitors, JBl monitors, AKG mic, Sennheiser Headphones, Pro-tools, Cubase, and Mostly I work in the box with my go through waves bundle.

A: Ryan Leslie, Apache Indian, Jon Bellion, J Cole, and Kanye West.
