Prashant Rajmanohar Badugu (born January 11) is an Indian music producer, sound engineer, musician, and entrepreneur from Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is known for his work in music production, sound design, sound editing, sync sound recording, and live event sound engineering, and has collaborated with a diverse set of artists across genres such as hip-hop, R&B, pop, and gospel. He also founded RapBasement Production and other music ventures. Prashant was born and raised in Mumbai. He developed an early interest in music and sound technology, teaching himself to play the piano and other instruments and learning music arrangement and production techniques independently. His musical influences include Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Yanni, The Beatles, Dr. Dre, and A.R. Rahman. Prashant began his professional career in music production in the late 2000s. Over the years, he has produced, arranged, and engineered music for both established and upcoming artists. His production work spans a variety of musical styles including hip-hop, rap, pop, and fusion. In addition to studio music production, Prashant has worked as a live sound engineer for various artist events and performances, offering expertise in audio setup, mix balancing, and stage sound management. His technical skills encompass both studio engineering and live event sound reinforcement.

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I did a song for an NGo, I produced the track, recorded and even mixed it.

  4. A: I am working on an Ep.

  8. A: Analog and digital both. Analog it give a warm sound but the process is kinda long. Digital cause it's easy to apply and save.

  14. A: How much do you charge for music production or mixing. I say it depends over the client if he/she willing to pay.

  22. A: Laptop, headphone, sound card, midi keyboard and a mic.

  24. A: My path started as a music producer than along with it I started to mix tracks for artists, it's been 15years I am in this profession.

  28. A: Apache Indian, he was the 1st Indian-UK reggae artist who had set a Groove in his track with his slang.

  30. A: When you produce a song give space to the instruments you keep adding to the track.

  36. A: I shade the feeling into the track when I produce or mix.

  40. A: I have a Mix Board, Rme sound card, Genelec Monitors, JBl monitors, AKG mic, Sennheiser Headphones, Pro-tools, Cubase, and Mostly I work in the box with my go through waves bundle.

  42. A: Ryan Leslie, Apache Indian, Jon Bellion, J Cole, and Kanye West.
