Paul M. Grenon

Orchestral Film Score Composer

Paul M. Grenon on SoundBetter

I enjoy creating rich, orchestral scores, utilizing melodies that aren't just memorable, but also develop along with the story. My big influences are John Williams, Alan Silvestri, and Bruce Broughton. I love creating music and I hope to collaborate on future film projects.

I love to composing soundtracks, but why should you hire me? Well, I love composing melodies, but they aren't catchy in the same way as a pop song. I craft them specifically for the project they are meant for. The most important thing I think of when composing a score is the film itself. If there is dialog in a scene, I'll let the music back down to let the actors speak. But when it is a fast paced action sequence, I bring the music out to help tell the story. Another thing I try to do is avoid using too much percussion, which I find is used too much in modern films. I only use lots of percussion when it makes sense. And while I mainly compose orchestral music, I can also do jazz.
