50mil+ streams! As a writer (and musician) I work closely with Stones Throw artist Benny Sings, as I co-wrote 9 tracks in the last 2 albums ('Music' and 'Young Hearts'). Some tracks I worked on have featured Emily King, Tom Misch and Remi Wolf to name a few. I also love mixing outside projects as well as working with new artists as a producer.
My name is Adam Bar-Pereg.
I love all genres of music: There's good and bad. (and I even love the bad sometimes)
I love songwriting, I love producing; Building a relationship and finding their strengths and work on getting the best songs out there.
I also enjoy mixing outside projects. I find mixing my own produced/written work too much, and a fresh set of ears work best. So mixing work I don't produce is always welcome. Any style.
I have released over 500 tracks as a writer, producer, or mixer. Pop, Indie, EDM and everything in-between.
I have an amazing high end studio in Amsterdam where I love to work from.
I have been playing with Benny Sings now for nearly 8 years. The last 2 albums I have co written quite a few tracks. I also tour with him as his MD/Keyboard player.
My latest 2 releases as a producer were for the in Holland well known and respected singer Janne Schra. We co-wrote the whole album and I produced it. It will be released on the 25th of May 2023 (first 2 singles are out now though)
Then I did an EP with NOOR: a young up and coming singer-songwriter. Her first EP: Over 1 million streams in 3 weeks. Very happy.
Then I also have my own labour of love project "Love the System" a super funky project which guests include Cory Wong, Mark Lettieri, Kid Creole and many more!
I offer songwriting, mixing, producing, and anything else you can come up with!

Interview with Adambar100
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Benny Sings latest album was amazing. I co wrote 5 of the 10 tracks and it was produced by Kenny Beats (Ed Sheran, Selena Gomez, Idles, Slow Thai, etc) which was such a great experience and opened lots of doors and doors to productional and songwriting ideas. Proud of that. And Janne Schra's album (out may 26th 2023) which is a great mix of different styles and production techniques, and I worked with some amazing talents along the way. As a co writer and producer.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: On a new sister group indie pop as a co writer and producer. On another indie soul project with heavy 70's influences. A funk project from NYC as a mixer. And working with 2 other female singer songwriter acts as a co writer/producer. And on tour with Benny Sings.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I just joined!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: both are amazing for different reasons.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Everything. the Music.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Depends on what they want. No job is the same.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Try and communicate the best you can what your looking for and your examples, and trust the process.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: any upright piano as long as it was tuned. U87 Mic. UAD Apollo small Dynaudios B6 for example Apple MacBook Pro shit now I don't have my bass guitar!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Since I can remember I wanted to be a musician. Since I was 11 I joined bands and toured. Toured all over the world, made my first record at 17 that was a club number 1 in Europe. For over 30 years and never took a break :)
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Versatile
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: So many: Phoebe Bridgers, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Noga Erez, Kali Uchis, Lizzy McAlpine, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Adele, you know, the big ones :)
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Use your ears not eyes.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: All kinds. Indie. Pop. Soul. Funk. Even done hard rock/metal stuff and enjoy that too. Punk. EDM. Hip Hop (including trap beats) (As I also work on adverts now and then it made me versatile : could be a 50's rock a billy to a Drake like banger...)
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Honesty and I have no ego: the song is most important. And I love to collaborate to make a better product!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Depends what the song is missing. It can be a full on completely rearrangement or just a slight touch. Whatever works to make the song the best it can be.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Depends on my role. I mostly just start :) and it always sorts itself out.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Built around an AMEK Media 51 desk. Every kind of mic. Loads of gear, from Vari Mu's, G Series, SPL, Neve mic pre's, etc to old stuff like Gates Level Devil (1959) and strange reverses like the Great British Spring. A whole bunch of analogue synths, from FM to modular, and different kinds of Piano's... and of course a computer with every kind of plug in and in the box synth/sampler you can think of...
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: So many! Anderson Paak. who has worked with Benny Sings. Vulfpeck for creating a whole audio/visual world. But also artists like Lizzy McAlpine: she found her voice doing it all her own way independently! Wet Leg! Producers like Trevor Horn (I did a masterclass with once) and engineers like Susan Rodgers (Prince), Inflo (Sault) are just as inspiring asbeat makers like Hollywood Cole and Kenny Beats (Who I worked with!)
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I work closely with different artists building/coaching/producing tracks. I also do mixing work for a variety of clients. From pop tot indie, and edm to... podcasts! Here and there a mastering job and quite some session work as a keyboard player or bass.
