Interview with BHR Studios
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Conmigo Va, is a pop production for a Christian group in the Dominican Republic. I'm really proud of this project as it has a refreshing sound with a beautiful and powerful message. I was the main producer, recording and mix engineer.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To deliver a high-quality product, that also satisfy the creative needs on the project.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That what I do is easy and that it can be done in a breeze.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Before talking price, let's see all your needs and asses what value I could add to your project. The end goal is for you to be satisfied with what I can add to it.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A guitar, laptop, mic, audio interface and headphones
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been a session guitarist for over 10 years and a producer and mixing engineer for a little over 5 years now.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Simple and transparent.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Jesus Adrian Romero. His music was one of the greatest influences when I was learning guitar and even more when producing a song. The way his music sounds is incredibly well arranged. Simple yet beautifully full.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Almost always... Less is more.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I have a very keen eye and a sharp ear for details and musicality. I like to think the songs in a macro view and try to make the musical decisions based on the song as a whole and not a specific part.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Listen to the project and highlight what caught my attention and offer insight in the things that can be improved. After all the ideas has been set and approved then I start the recording/production process.

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both, there are things that digital cannot get yet, and there are some advantages on the digital realm that are impossible to do on analog.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
