Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: What sonics are you trying to achieve? Can you give me one/a few songs that inspire your sonic? This is important, because this is essentially the groundwork for what I'll be crafting with your song. Mixing is a very creative process and creativity comes from inspiration! Same goes for production!

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: If you're not nodding your head I didn't do my job

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: I work on all types!

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Ask me questions!!! Let's get to know each other and build a relationship! Music isn't about money; it's about life, and I will always be here to help artists bring their visions to life!

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: Anderson .Paak's Oxnard Album. I worked on the "Tints" track with my mentor Om'Mas Keith. It's always a pleasure working at Dr. Dre's studio, which is where a majority of the process was done!

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: Currently co-producing and Mixing drum legend Ronald Bruner Jr's (Thundercat's older brother!) sophomore album. We've got artists like Anderson .Paak, Chaka Khan, Kamasi Washington, and of course Thundercat on it

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Both! Who doesn't love that analog warmth, and who doesn't love that digital speed?

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: Making a song sound it's best is extremely satisfying to me

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That mixing is not creative!

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Dynamic

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: My dream artists have already been checked off my list! It has always been Anderson .Paak, Dr. Dre, and Kendrick Lamar!

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: BOUNCE. I've noticed most mixes out there have a very flat energy to them- they may be clean and polished but where I like to have fun is with the bounce and dynamics of the groove! Make heads nod when they listen!!

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: I bring an advantage when it comes to Mixing and Mastering; I'm able to utilize an Engineer's strict audiophile ear as well as a serious Musician's ear, giving my mixes a duality that Engineer-only Mixers/Mastering Engineers dont have. I studied and play jazz piano and music production so I'm fortunate to be able to hear and create mixes from both perspectives!

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: I love MixedByAli. His sonics and drums always hit hard and I tend to use some of his mixes as inspiration! As for production; everything I hear see is my inspiration- whether it's music, or a sick painting, or just the sound of cat outside my window! I don't like to limit myself to only my ears

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I mostly Mix or master, but I also Produce and plays keys! I studied Piano Performance and Music Production in addition to Audio Engineering at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles so I like to put all my skills to use!
