I have worked in audio production in top London studio for over 15 years, with experience in recording, mixing, producing and arranging. I compose music for production libraries that have been used in BBC documentaries, online commercials.

Editing - sort out timing or tuning issues, edit together multiple takes

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: Documentary music for Synctracks ltd.

  5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  6. A: I started young in bands playing keyboards and singing, then went to university to study music and sound recording. Since then I have worked in a large orchestral recording studio for 15 years, creating soundtracks for film, tv and recording backing tracks for pop songs. I started composing/arranging 10 years ago for music production companies.

  7. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  8. A: Don't be afraid to take something away from a mix.

  9. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  10. A: I have a small writing room, and access to a larger orchestral studio with a grand piano.

  11. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  12. A: All the session musicians that visit the studio, and the arrangers we work with (Cliff Masterson, Simon Hale)

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: Compose backing arrangements (strings, brass, choir) for pop/rock songs
