Christal Jerez is an audio engineer with experience recording, mixing and mastering music. After studying audio production at American University for her B.A. in Audio Production and at New York University for her Masters degree in Music Technology, she started working professionally at Platinum Sound Recording Studios in NYC where she worked with many local and notable artists including Lil Kim, Kat de Luna, Miguel, and more. After 4 years, she moved on to work as Alex Tumay’s mix assistant at Do What Sounds Good Studios. She had the opportunity to work on records for Partynextdoor, dvsn, Gunna, and more. Christal is currently working remotely out of Los Angeles as a mixing and mastering engineer. Most recently she recorded the first project released under MixedbyAli’s label, NoName Records.
