A: Lady Gaga. I was the recording Engineer and I mixed some of the songs.

A: Mixing an Album for Dianne Warren.

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. I worked on analogues when I first started out, its a real pain in the ass, and I can make my music sound like analogue with todays technology.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That they will be happy with the work.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Listening to new music.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it's easy. Subtleties take a long time to learn asa craft.

A: Budget and timeline.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Have the song finished, before you want it mixed.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Pro tools. Waves Plugins. 1176 compressor. U87 mic. UAD Apollo interface.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Tea boy-Assistant Engineer-Engineer-Mixer-producer/mixer. I have been doing this for over 25 years working at Sony music in London.

A: Old school and English.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Nine inch nails. they are my favorite band.

A: Filters. Filtering really makes space in a mix.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, electronic and R&B.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Patience.

A: Trying to make it as radio as possible.

A: Start with the rhythm section.
