Hello there! My name is Aarom Cuestas but, as I work in the music industry, I like to be called "CeZeta". You might be asking... What can I get form this guy? Well, I'm really glad to tell you that I can be your next Ghost producer, or your next Remote Mixing Man, or maybe your advisor for your Musical Project!
Since 2021 I worked in a few local projects as the main producer, an external advisor and even as a composer for an intro for a Youtube Channel! This was thanks to my versatility in many music genres like rock, pop, edm, ska, reggae, hip-hop, new wave, synth pop and more!
With all this information you know that I can be your man, I can be that guy to ask stuff someone might not know in music but, overall, I want to be the man that will enhance your Music Project, even if you think it's difficult, just remember, 2 brains thinks better than one.
So don't waste your time and just ask me whatever your music inquiry is, I know we can make it work it out very well and both will get a good result from hour work together :)

Interview with CeZeta
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Im proud of this, but the end dissapointed me. I was a volunteer in the World Cup 2022, I met a few mexican friends that wanted to start a Youtube Channel, so after I returned to my country we started the preparations. After 2 weeks and getting paid for composing, mixing and mastering the intro for their channel, they told me like 3 days after that the were not going to do the channel. A shame cause I think it would have being a great one.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working as a freelance unitl I'm accepted in an institute in USA where I plan to finish my studies.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Unfortunately, no.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both, digital will help you out understand how analog works and the same in the other direction. Knowing what any tool can do is important because you dont know when are you going to work with someone with analog or digital projects.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Get the best quality of their recordings to get the better version of their song.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Its enterteinng for myself, cleaning and mixing the tracks is fun for me.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: The days of delivery, they also ask for tips to improve their recording process, etc.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That we just put on a daw what the artists recorded, we just paste it and then we ask a lot of money.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: The objective of the project, where is going to be released, hoy many songs they are planing to do, if the tracks are well recorded and in wav format, etc
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Dont underestimate beginner producers, thay can get you a really good quality product for a low price.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My laptop, interface, the bass, a lot of food and water (lol)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I studied music production in Peru from 2018 to 2022 but my plan is to finish my studies in the USA this year. Also, since 2021 I started working as a producer being an advisor of projects and some compositions.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: 100% friendly and complete
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would like to be in the sound section of the concerts of Queen, thay are my favorite band and I know that I can learn a lot from them.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Work allways with a low lovel on your pc. If you listen to your mix in full volume or a big one, you might confuse in what you are really listening.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rock & Pop, Ska, Reggae, Hip-hop, Blues, Rockabilly, New Wave, Videogame Style, 80's Style, etc
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Instrumental mixing, composing music and lyrics, produce jingles or intros,
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Formality, punch, i give it the perfect arrange to sound balanced in every way, I can give "colors" to the final product.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: After getting all the tracks, I listen to them and check if they are well recorded. It they are, we go to the next step. If not, I ask the artist to record it again while I try to move o nwith the rest of the material. The step 2 now is to balance all the tracks in gain, volume and panning, so that I can get a better idea of what to do. After that, I start cleaning (eq) and compressing all the tracks and rearrange them again to get the full idea. Step 3 is to start the production by the effects and tools (plugins) that I have, inserting them directly or creating a few mix buses and doing the chain. Step 4 is to control all the rms and peak levels to see if the process was well done or do we need to change something. After that, we check that we leave some -3dB room for mastering and keep on cleaning. Step 5 is the mastering section, were I use additive eq, small compression, a few fx if needed and then the limitator to get on the perfect balance of the song. I like to work with -14LUFS - 1dB true pick and -13LUFS - 2dB true pick.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I've worked with reaper since 2020 but now I could purchase Fl Studio. I also work with Pro Tools but its from a friends that lends me his Pc. Apart from that, I have my Focusrite 2i2 interface, my Eris 5 monitors, one Arturia Minilab mkII, one Yamaha keyboard and my Fender Squier Pbass.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I think that the most important musicians to me are Queen, Michael Jakcson and Soda Stereo. I think that their sound was unique even if they "shared" some time in the industry (active years).
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mix and master all the tracks they gave me to produce their next song. In some cases they ask me to compose a little section, intro or jingle so that they can use it on their platforms.
