David Eleazer Ariza
Alt sound Prod, Mixer & Master
Passionate producer & composer crafting unique sounds for standout projects. Every song has a distinct identity. I learn about your passions, goals, and song concepts to create something extraordinary. Let's make music that sets you apart.
I am a music producer specializing in pop, rock, indie, and folk, catering to alternative artists. With 25 years of experience as a multi-musician, including 16 years as a worship director, 11 years as an artist and composer, and 9 years as a producer, I have collaborated with a diverse range of Christian and non-Christian artists spanning many genres.
My greatest passion lies in uncovering the musical potential of each artist and connecting their desired message with the audience in a way that truly resonates.
I have the expertise to transform your simple demo (piano/voice or guitar/voice) into a fully produced, mixed, and mastered song that adheres to both technical and creative specs, ensuring that your song stands out from the crowd. I firmly believe that the message you convey is as crucial as the manner in which you deliver it. A professionally executed song not only communicates excellence but also showcases your dedication to your craft.
Working from my studio, I can create your song from scratch, collaborating either in person or remotely. Whether you have a home studio or access to a professional recording facility to lay down your vocals and/or instruments, I am committed to delivering exceptional quality, service, and excellence in every production.

Interview with David Eleazer Ariza
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: One of the most important keys is to add and remove elements to create different sensations in the listener, at least every 8 bars, to maintain their attention. The same applies to widening and narrowing the stereo field to generate contrasts.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I thrive in alternative music projects that blend different styles. I have worked on alternative rock, mainstream pop, funk, indie, CCM, and ballad projects. However, where I truly excel is in the realm of alternative rock and pop music
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My ability to interpret the artist's desires is a key aspect of my role. In addition to being a producer, I am also a coach, which equips me with the tools to understand the artist's musical and technical aspirations through their words. This skill is crucial because if a producer can't grasp the artist's vision, it becomes challenging to bring their ideas to life. Musically, my primary instrument is the guitar, which I have been playing for 16 years. I also have 12 years of experience on drums, and I am proficient in bass and piano. With my formal musical training, I am able to achieve specific musical objectives.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Each song is art, and the artist holds the vision. As a producer, my role is to bring that vision to life. I interpret the artist's desires and transform them into a fully produced, mixed, and mastered song. I carefully select instruments, create musical or vocal arrangements, and oversee the performance of all participants, whether it's just the artist and myself or involves additional musicians. My ultimate goal is to deliver a master that aligns with the artist's expectations and captures their creative essence
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: "Typically, the first step I take is to interview the artist and listen to their demo. During the interview, I inquire about their goals for the song, their overall musical influences, and specific references for the song's style. This allows me to spend time getting to know their music. I then create a work plan with timelines, and we commence the production process. Throughout, I maintain regular communication with the artist, providing updates and progress on their project for approval and ongoing feedback. Once the artist is satisfied with the recorded elements, I proceed with detailed editing of the takes, vocal tuning if necessary, and tempo correction for each track (if required). We then move into the mixing stage, using a reference chosen by the artist. I employ the 'Brauerizing' mixing technique, a method taught and utilized by Michael Brauer (Coldplay, Morat, Adele, Aerosmith, Ricardo Arjona). Once the mix version is approved, I proceed to master the song, incorporating the artist's references and the initial goals established. I always ensure that artists are involved in every stage and detail of the project, resulting in their utmost satisfaction with the achieved outcome."
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have two workspaces at my disposal. Firstly, my personal studio where I have undertaken projects from scratch using MIDI and guitars. Secondly, I work at a professional studio equipped with an extensive range of drums and microphones for capturing acoustic elements. In addition, I possess a vast library of top industry licensed plugins, including Slate Digital, Universal Audio, SoundToys, iZotope, Brainworks, and Arturia. This arsenal enables me to achieve not only high-quality recordings but also any sonic objective when it comes to mixing and mastering
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Musical references: The Weeknd, Coldplay, Alejandro Sanz, Switchfoot, Soda Estéreo, Gustavo Cerati, TOTO, Steven Curtis Chapman, Nothing but thieves, Israel Houghton, Hillsong UNITED, John Mayer. Production references: Max Martin, Ian Kirkpatrick, Rick Rubin, Josh Gudwin, Michael Brauer, Jeff Sojka, Ben Glover, Mark Ronson, CLA, Tom Lord-Alge, Gustavo Santaolalla, Nico Cotton, Facundo Yalve (Evlay)
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: When starting a project, I always engage in a conversation with the client to understand their musical references, stylistic goals, and overall vision. By analyzing their specific needs and objectives, I embark on the production process, whether it's from a demo or a rough draft. I carefully craft the instrumentation, aiming to achieve the desired sound envisioned by the client. After completing the production and recording phase, I meticulously mix and master the track. My ultimate goal is to deliver a song of the highest quality, enabling it to compete on charts and attract a larger audience.
