Producer/Engineer for Cane White & the Culprits album "Which Way is Home." I played most of the guitar and the bass parts, and also recorded/mixed/mastered myself.
I'm here to offer professional quality mixes at a low price for the musicians who don't know how to mix but want to get their music out there. I believe that a great mix can truly elevate a great song, and I have the tools and skillset available to provide that for you.
I have been mixing for 6 years now, and have been a musician since I was 10 years old. I currently play bass guitar for Palmer Anthony and am looking for more mixing work!

Interview with Grant Tomlinson
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I recorded an album with my band this summer. One of the songs, "Hate the Road" is actually my audio example on this page. I basically did everything from a production standpoint. I was the producer, recording engineer, editor, mixing engineer, and mastering engineer, and I played a significant portion of the instruments on that record. My hands were all over that project.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That I get to do music for a living. That's pretty cool if you ask me.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Mixing is not the time for writing or editing the song. The song should only be mixed when the writing/recording process is completed.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: If you had to name a band or artist to describe your sound, who would you say?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Work with someone who has the same goals as you.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: An acoustic guitar, a microphone, a way to record, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" on DVD, and a case of beer.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing piano when I was 10. And over time, I've learned how to play multiple other instruments, and have also become an audio engineer. I worked in live sound for a year and a half, mixing shows for bands like the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and The National Parks.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: A good mix of rock and Texas country music
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't get caught up in the minutia of the gear or what plugins you're using. You're making music, have fun with it!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Typically I work on rock and country music, but I listen to all genres and am down for anything!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Pro Tools 2025, 2018 Macbook Pro, Kali LP6 studio monitors, a whole lotta plugins, Virus TI synthesizer, Line 6 HX Stomp as well as Helix Native for in-the-box tones.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog. To me, it's just way more musical. Even though digital is much more accessible, I prefer the sound and feel of analog gear.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Dave Grohl. He doesn't take himself too seriously and he looks like he truly loves what he does. It never seems like a job to him, it always looks like he's having the time of his life.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Mixing drums
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Fresh ears and a desire to elevate the song
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My all-time favorite band is Foo Fighters, but recently I've been jamming a lot of Sleep Token, and am getting more into the metal genre every day.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mostly production and mixing.
