My name is Trent Yurkovitch, and I’m a professional drummer and educator based at Chops Music Studio in Tampa, Florida. With nearly 20 years of experience, I specialize in metal, rock, and funk—blending hard-hitting intensity with deep, groove-driven feel.
I am primarily a metal drummer who studied under Casey Grillo (Queensryche, Kamelot), Bernard Galane (top LA session drummer), and Derek Roddy (Death Metal Legend), but I also had the privilege of studying under the legendary John Blackwell (Prince, Justin Timberlake, Patti LaBelle), mastering the grooves of icons like Tower of Power, James Brown, and Prince. This fusion of technical precision and dynamic rhythm allows me to craft unique drum parts that serve the song while standing out creatively.
My newly renovated studio is equipped for high-quality recordings, featuring Pro Tools HD and up to 16-track recording capability for pristine, professional drum sounds.
