Been producing over a year and I am studying Music Production course in college. I fully produce all of my own tracks (beat making, mixing and mastering) and am looking to produce tracks for others
I'm a 17 year old producer and have been producing just over a year. While this may sound really young to be producing and people might feel I'm not too experienced, I have learnt a lot since studying Music Production in college. I create primarily Cinematic and Hip-Hop instrumentals. However, I am always open to other genres such as Pop, Rock, Trap etc. I listen to wide variety of artists (including underground artists). Some examples of artists I listen to are: NF, BANNERS, Tom Grennan, The Hunna, Macklemore, Imagine Dragons, All Time Low. I believe that it's important to know how to produce different genres instead of one or two subgenres as my work will be very limited otherwise. While I have been producing for a much shorter time than other competitors out there, I always feel the need to perfect something I am working on. A lot of producers I see that are my age often pump out a lot songs every week/month which can lead to them all sounding the same. I take quite some time to get an idea but I also spend a while to make a beat and will keep coming back to it until I feel it is perfected. When working to a deadline, I am a lot faster than if I am just producing beats for myself and can make a beat in just under a week if I have deadlines to meet.
