I am a multi instrumentalist, and grammy nominated recording and mix engineer based out of Shifted Recording in Brooklyn, New York. Specializing in mixing classic mic placement and recording technique with modern production sensibilities.
I found a love for music through playing guitar and piano as a kid. I took lessons from 8-13 and continued to practice alone rigorously after that. I loved to play along with classic rock, blues and soul records and eventually picked up the bass to join a band in middle school.
When I started writing songs as a teenager, I was immediately interested in recording them, I found a lifelong passion for production and learned to program drums, and make my own arrangements. During my time at Berklee College of Music I tried my hand at producing some of my friends records. I found that I like helping other people make records as much as I like making my own.
I worked as an assistant engineer at Samurai Hotel Recording Studio under owner and chief engineer David Stoller. I learned firsthand how to mic jazz bands of all sizes using classic, timeless gear and technique. During my time there I earned an assistant engineering credit on Melissa Aldana's grammy nominated song "Falling."
Since leaving Samurai I have been working out of Shifted Recording as a freelance producer, session musician, recording and mix engineer.
