Let me mix and/or edit your track! I'm a graduate of the University of York with a degree in Music and Sound Recording, and self engineered, arranged and mixed an entire album on my own. I am an intern for Noble Street Studios, so I'm aware of the working of the music industry. I specialize in Rock and Pop adjacent genres, but am versatile.
I'm an up and coming audio engineer with experience in recording, mixing and editing music of all kinds. I am strong on customer communication, and will only deliver the track to you after you are completely satisfied.

Interview with Alex Bispo
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: It's always fun to hear a song get fully polished and how it goes along throughout the mixing process.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Any reference tracks or specific stylistic choices are important to know up front.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Make sure the style you are looking for is fulfilled with the person you are asking for.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: If I were on a desert island I would bring my computer, a monitor, a good pair of headphones, a MIDI keyboard and my Epiphone Les Paul. With all of that gear I could do absolutely everything I would need to.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: My career path is just starting at the moment. I have been self producing since I was around 15, mostly recording guitar riffs and guitar-based songs, using programmed drums. While at university, I was able to record with musicians and have experience with what it was like working with a professional grade studio. I am now an intern at Noble Street Studios.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Definitely The 1975. Their style of music and production is so unique that I think I would learn a lot from them.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Listen through your phone. If something sounds good through your phone speakers it will sound good to 90% of listeners.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work on rock and synthwave the most when I am working on my own. Guitar riffs and synth melodies are where I feel at home, and I like to incorporate both into my work.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is my ability to adapt. I like to work in different workflows and different genres as they allow me to learn different techniques and different sounds.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I like to make music accessible. I think having a clean sound that works on both good speakers, good headphones and just an iPhone speaker is extremely important.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My work process starts with me organizing all the tracks, and labeling things clearly. I like to know where important sections are, and I like my tracks to be all organized. After this, I get basic levels and panning down. Afterwards go all of the corrective effects, such as EQ and compression to make sure everything fits together. After this is where I allow my creativity to shine, adding things such as reverbs, delays, saturation, and other artistic effects.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I currently work from home. I own most industry standard plugins and work within Ableton and Pro Tools, depending what is necessary for the session.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I have many inspirations in many of the types of work I do. I'm a big fan of Jack Antonoff, Bob Rock, Butch Vig, Dave Jerden.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My most common work I have done is mixing.
