Hey! I'm Hisham, a drummer in Los Angeles and I'm here to help your tracks come ALIVE with raw & expressive drum parts. I have a knack for powerful playing and feeling out your musical moments, accentuating them for more life. I'm also an official Alesis artist with their flagship e-kit for live midi performances. You'll have limitless potential!
I've played drums all my life with over 25 years of recording and performing experience... but I'm also:
1. A composer and producer myself (search "Rizik" on Spotify, Apple, etc.) so I have firm understanding of DAWs, mixing, editing, plugins, and of course -- composition.
AND!
2. An e-drummer in addition to an acoustic drummer. In other words, if you want live drum writing/feel/parts with some crazy sound design, or you prefer I use a plug-in library... OR, you want the midi performance to swap out yourself, you can do it! I'm an official Alesis artist so I have their latest and greatest Strike Pro SE flagship kit.
I've played on every genre imaginable, but I specialize in compositions that could use a heavy-handed drummer with groove and tons of feel like pop, rock, pop/rock, EDM and metal.
I work fast, I'm easy to communicate with, and I'll work with you until you're happy.
BONUS: I can easily film myself tracking drums to your project to offer some video content for your social media, YouTube, etc.
That's it! Looking forward to making your track(s) come alive.

Endorse Hisham DahudWe hired Hisham to play drums on a few tracks and he was so easy to communicate with and always on time. A true professional and amazing drummer! Highly recommended!
AMAZING! I needed live drums for a film score I was working on and Hisham was SO easy to work with! He delivered the goods on the first take, not a revision needed. Can’t recommend him enough. Between his skills as a drummer and him being SUPER professional with communication and timing, man, 10/10.
Through my career in music I had the chance to work with Hisham a few times in the studio and remotely and every time I was blown away by his talent and taste, he always know what the song needs perfectly and it a talent that is hard to find, his parts always support the song and don't just add groove to it, it will give your song a soul.
P.s
He is a mean piano player too :)
Interview with Hisham Dahud
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I have a knack for powerful playing and feeling out your musical moments, accentuating them for more life. "Play to the song" is in my bones, I try not to overpower the song with anything too fancy. Naturally, as a drummer, I'd like to be the one that holds it all together.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First, LOTS of listening. I try to communicate with the clients and listen to tracks several times through before I even pick up a drumstick to really understand what the intention is. Then I usually jam on top of what's already there, usually a temp or programmed drum track. And then I take a break! Rest the ears and remove all context. Then I come back and jam again, this time removing the temp drums. I'll usually begin coming up with parts I'm likely going to record by the second or third pass. Then I record! Send it to you, ensure you're happy, and hopefully... do another one to you. :)
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I've got a few different setups with a lot going on: 1. My acoustic kit is always being changed around with different snare and cymbal setups to suit specific tracks, but it's always got two AKG overheads, two snare mics, kick, toms, etc. all mic'd up. 2. My electronic kit is an Alesis Strike Pro SE with Drumtec triple ply heads on it. I rarely use the on-board sounds though, as I'm always pulling from a number of different drum libraries. 3. I also produce and compose my own music as an artist! So I've got a Yamaha NU1X hybrid piano in there, a bunch of midi controllers, drum machines, an Alesis Strike MultiPad, a gorgeous Fender P-Bass, Strat, Guild acoustic... just a lot of stuff. :)

- Gretsch Bell Brass... welcome to the family!Mar 08, 2023
For years I've been after that big, FAT, luscious whack of a true bell brass snare. Only problem is, they're obscenely expensive.
So I did what any normal musician would do, I bought it. :)
I'm so stoked to finally get this baby in my arsenal.
See for yourself!
