Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I produced for a group called asapmob on a Sony/rca released album called the cozy tapes 2. I am proud of that song because it’s the only song with every member on it plus more, and it was my first placement.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently working on production and mixing for a&e networks and history channel. Also working with a few celebrity artists and indie up and come artists as well.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: No
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Analog has a unique and warmer feel to it but digital gets things done faster and has amazing plugins.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to heighten the quality of the record and will not be satisfied until the client is satisfied and happy.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love music and sound and the study of frequencies and that all coincides with my job.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How long have you been doing music? My reply is usually “Since a child”
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Sometimes people think it’s not as time consuming than if really is.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask for a reference of the song they need work on if they have one. I also ask if they need the beat mixed or is it just vocals mixed and or mastered.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: If I’m being hired for mixing I would ask to make sure the stems are sent properly. And let me know if theres any notes I should keep in mind.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop with solar generator, midi keyboard with pads, microphone, interface, headphones
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I was making beats since 12, started recording my own songs in my teenage years and learned to mix through out the years. I got my first major placement in 2017 and have been working on more label and tv. placements ever since.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would describe my style as versatile.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would like to work with drake and/or stevie wonder because I know we would make a vibezone the world would feel
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Yes while making a beat u can change the tempo,or reverse it and sample it, and save it multiple times after each cool vibe and it can work for you as more than one beat for different artist.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip hop,Rnb,reggaeton,reggae,dance
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Producing,composing,engineering
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I can make a song overall sound and feel bigger and louder without any clipping or distortion. I Also know when a song can get boring and needs some composing or transition work. I also know how to mix a song without changing the producers vision of the feel.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It varies, but these days I usually start on maschine,then take it to pro tools from there I keep tracking then mix.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run on pro tools and usually rewire anything else I’m using through there. I also use reason,mashine, fruity loops, Mpc, Logic and have been collecting plugins for years.
