Rogier Tromp on SoundBetter

I've worked with David Guetta, Hardwell, Vinai & many more to create the perfect vocal mix for their tracks. With 175,000,000+ streams, I'm more than ready to work on yours.

Hi, I’m Rogier Tromp – a vocal producer, mixing engineer, and songwriter. I’ve had the chance to work with artists like Hardwell, David Guetta, Tungevaag, Vinai, and many others in the EDM scene. I've had 45,000,000+ streams in 2025 and over 175,000,000+ streams in total.

I specialize in vocals that can fit any production. Whether you need a polished, fully produced sound or something more natural and raw, I provide stems in wet, dry, dry-processed, and raw format – so you always get something usable and flexible.

What I need from you:

- Vocals recorded as cleanly as possible. It is possible to try to remove room acoustics or noise, but this may affect the quality of the mix. If you’re unsure about your recordings, feel free to contact me — we can check together what’s possible.

What you can expect from me:

- Depending on your needs, I will always bounce stems in multiple formats. The final result will be delivered in wet/dry/raw versions and will always be tuned (unless discussed otherwise).
- A quick workflow. I’ll always try to work around your schedule and deliver the vocals within 3 days, aiming to send a first mix back as soon as possible.
- Two revisions to make sure we’re mixing toward what you have in mind.

I love being involved in every project, working closely to make sure the vocals bring the track to life.

It's rare to find producers that are equally good at processing vocals, making instrumentals and songwriting! I've done several collaborations with Rogier on a professional level, when he has made sure my vocals sounded super lush. Also he's a great guitarist : ) Recommend!!

I had the pleasure to working with Rogier on some songs for my own project. Rogier knows what the song needs and knows how to get the best out of your vocals. He is worth every dime. Check out one of the end results on spotify "Royal Council - Future".

I would recommend you hire Rogier if you want the best vocal sound!

I have worked with Rogier on countless songs and is my go to vocal engineer for my featured tracks. His knowledge base and ability to communicate his ideas are un-matched! Would recommend you hire him for all your vocal needs!

Interview with Rogier Tromp

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: There's a song to be released with Hard Driver. I've been looking up to that guy ever since i was a little kid. Early 2023 I was actually in a live session with him and i got to sing, engineer and mix the vocal! Very surreal! Also Vendetta by Rebelion is a track i'm proud of. These guys are running the industry right now. Also; i'm the vocalist! :)

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm working on a couple of cool collabs! There's a track in the pipeline with Tungevaag, another one with Egzod and i'm working on a cool cover for Atmozfears!

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Rory Hope ladies & gentleman. If you need a vocalist & songwriter to write your vocals we can absolutely make sure you're getting what you want!

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: A good combination of both really. Analog adds character but there are things that digital can do and analog can't.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: Your vocals with be ready to be put onto your track. No further heavy mixing required.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Getting to meet new people every day. Honestly people are so nice in the industry!

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Most of the times vocalists are scared of letting someone else do the auto-tune/melodyne. I get that. The thing is; i'm a vocalist myself aswel. I know what to look out for and i'll always make sure you're comfortable with the end result!

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: People think i'm just a songwriter. Meanwhile i'm engineering the session, coaching the vocalist, editing the vocals. mixing them AND making sure they fit within the track WHILE i'm writing the song. haha!

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: Good refference tracks obviously! I can imitate almost every sound and effect! If there's anything special you want me to do, just shoot me a message!

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Make sure you provide well recorded vocals. Honestly, the mic doesn't even matter that much anymore these days. The only thing that's hard to fix is poor room sound. Make sure the vocal is as dry as possible and i'll do the rest!

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: My laptop, Universal Audio Apollo Twin X, Shure SM7B, a pair of headphones and an XLR cable. All you need baby!

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I went to college for music production & composition at the Utrecht University of Arts in The Netherlands. During my internship i met with Robin van Loenen. He owns a well known publishing company. I was doing all sorts of jobs for him while he was teaching me how to become a top-liner and overall better engineer. It didn't took long until he decided to sign me as an artist. That's where it all took off. Fast forward three years and i'm graduaded and living the best life i can while working full-time in the music industry.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Clear, industry-standard & thick(!).

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Illenium is high on my list. I'd love to write a song for him someday!

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Time off is just as important as working on the product. Your ears need rest from time to time. Also; A/B your mix to other mixes you like and see how close you can get it to sound! :)

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I'm mostly hardstyle based but i'm also doing future bass and other EDM genre's.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Being able to translate my clients wish to sound while making sure it sounds professional. Also; my communication is strong. I'm often available for a chat if there's anything i can do for you!

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: Next-level sounding vocals.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: When i receive the vocal i start with comping the different takes together until i have the perfect sounding lead vocal. It all depends on how the takes react to the amount of autotune that's needed. It's a balancing game really. Then i melodyne and continue mixing.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I've got my home studio based in Zwolle (NL). I've got multiple mic's set-up and ready to be recorded with. My mixing will be done completely in-the-box.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I'm highly inspired by George Lever. Eventhough he's working in a completely different genre, I learn something new from him everyday. It keeps my workflow fresh and my sound top-notch.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: Usually i receive multiple takes of the lead vocal and a couple of dubs. Completely Raw. I edit, melodyne, autotune & mix the vocal until it sounds industry-standard.
