Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: I produced the instrumental for a song by a close friend, which has nearly a million views on YouTube. That song came about organically, with no intention of making a profit—out of a love for the art, so to speak.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: I work on mixing and instrumentals—and sometimes full productions—for up-and-coming artists in my city, as I’m a somewhat well-known producer here. I’m also a DJ.

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

A: I don't know anyone working on the platform.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: I haven't had the opportunity to work with analog equipment, so I don't have an answer for that.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: I wouldn't call it a promise, but I always aim to improve upon the initial concept to deliver a satisfying final product.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: Since I always strive to improve in every area, what I enjoy most is receiving genuine praise for the work I do or complete; that gives me the greatest satisfaction—more than the financial aspect.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: "What genre do you work in?" I answer: "A bit of everything; I think if there's one I haven't tried yet, I'd like to take on that challenge."

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: I've never thought about it; for the moment, I don't have anything in mind regarding that.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: Asking questions like "Who is your favorite artist?" or "Who is your biggest influence?" helps create a better working atmosphere and ensures alignment with the overall vision.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Be open to ideas that could enhance the vision for a project, as my intention with every job is precisely that: to make it far better than expected.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: My phone, my laptop with everything I have on it now, my hard drive, my headphones, and lots of food.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: About 10 years of experience making music and doing mixing work.

A: Urban, Vintage

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: I would like to work with Bad Bunny or Post Malone at some point in the future, as they have been my biggest influences throughout my career as a producer.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: If you listen closely, it sounds good; however, in music, there is always room for improvement.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: When it comes to music and instrumentals, I mostly lean towards urban music and hip-hop. I also really enjoy pop and R&B.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: I do whatever the song's concept requires and go beyond what the artist is looking for. I always aim to go further than just the mixing or the instrumental track; my goal is to make the song's vibe really stand out.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: When starting a project from scratch, I look for ideas and concepts based on the vision for the piece. I craft melodies until I find the right sound—one that both the artist and I love. From there, I develop the track and present my ideas or work-in-progress, eventually finalizing the song and delivering the required files (MP3, WAV, etc.).

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: My studio is located in my bedroom, which isn't acoustically treated properly, but I manage really well to work on my projects from here. I use FL Studio for beatmaking and recording vocals and instruments. I have a Presonus audio interface, a condenser microphone, and Yamaha monitors. It's basically my humble home studio where I work. I don't have any analog equipment at the moment.
