Interview with Cerame Cury

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I’m proud of my upcoming song “FaceTime” — I created the topline, lyrics, vocal performance and co-produced the vision. It represents my sound: emotional, modern and full of feeling.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: New releases including “FaceTime” and “Desnudarte,” plus collaborations with artists across multiple genres.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I focus on my own work, but I’m open to collaboration and recommending talent when needed.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital — it gives me flexibility and speed while still offering warmth and clarity with the right tools.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I deliver honest, emotional and professional work — with communication and love for the craft.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Helping someone turn a feeling or story into a real piece of music they’re proud of.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: They often ask: “Can you match my style?” My answer: Yes — I can adapt to your vibe while bringing fresh ideas and emotional depth.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That creating music is fast or automatic — real quality takes emotion, intention and detail.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: I ask about the emotion they want, references they like, their story, the message of the song and the style they’re aiming for.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Choose someone who listens to your vision and communicates clearly. The right collaboration makes the song stronger.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Apollo Twin, condenser mic, laptop with FL Studio, headphones, and a MIDI keyboard.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I started as a songwriter and singer, later producing my own music and collaborating with artists in multiple genres. I’ve been creating and recording music for years, growing my sound and expanding into full production and vocal work.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Melodic, emotional, modern and versatile. A blend of urban soul, R&B smoothness, pop clarity and spiritual depth.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I love working with artists who value emotion, vibe and storytelling — people who want their music to feel real and connect with listeners on a deeper level.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Always focus on the emotion first. A simple melody with the right feeling is more powerful than complex ideas without intention.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Urban, R&B, pop, gospel, rock, ballads, and melodic trap. I’m comfortable mixing genres to create something fresh.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest skill is blending emotional songwriting with catchy melodies and clean vocal delivery, across multiple genres.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: Emotion, melody, honesty and a strong sense of vibe. I help artists find the feeling behind their idea and turn it into something real, modern and memorable.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I start by understanding the client’s story and emotion. Then I create melodies first, shape the lyrics around them, and build the production to match the feeling. I record vocals, polish harmonies, edit everything clean and deliver a fully developed, professional track.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I work with a Universal Audio Apollo Twin, UAD plugins (1176, LA-2A, API Vision, Pultec EQs), Auto-Tune, Melodyne, high-quality microphones, FL Studio, professional headphones and monitors. My setup is built for clean vocals, warm production and fast workflow.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I’m inspired by artists who mix emotion, melody and storytelling across genres — creators who blend urban, R&B, pop and soul in a fresh way. I admire producers who focus on feeling, clarity and honest expression.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I usually write lyrics, create topline melodies, record vocals and produce full songs across urban, R&B, pop and gospel. Most of my clients come to me for emotional, modern and commercially strong songwriting and vocal performance.
