Ian Junior Mavundla (born 07 August 1998) otherwise known by his rap name Ian Ali is a rapper from the South Coast of KZN,a small rural-township in the south of Margate called Gcilima. The youngest of 6 siblings he was born in the 90s to parents,Ian and Primrose Mavundla.

Growing up he always had love for music,
he was in both his primary school's junior and senior choirs,he was the youngest choir member and
he managed to obtain multiple accolades with his choir and individually for his brilliance,
he was also a champion soccer player having led his team to 4 titles,he was born a leader and a jack of all trades.
Ian Ali was part of a collective of musicians and other young men called Fwe$h Mob founded by himself in (est. 2018).
He grew up listening to Nas,Stogie T,Prokid,Dr Dre,Lil-Wayne,AKA,Jozi and Eminem amongst others.He found his love for music later on
in his life when he was then exposed to the early works of Kendrick Lamar
and then he was introduced to JID in the year 2017.
He kick started his career in the year 2018 going on to work with some well known talented musician such as
Mlindo The Vocalist,Senzo Afrika,Sammy K,Masiano and many more .
