Scott is one of the best producers I have ever worked with. He will give you a smooth clean mix with warm vocals that are above industry standards. His excellent knowledge and expertise in R&B, Pop and Afrobeats to name a few is second to non. He definitely has a great ear for music and taste in the right melodies to create a well thought out song that not only sounds good but sits well in a mix. When he finally adds the mastering on top he leaves your song not only sounding more alive, but balanced, warm, wide and polished to ear sounding, radio/streaming quality.

Interview with Scott Whitman

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Originally started on home set up which later progressed to being the main engineer at a local studio.. I was then producing a lot with various artists . Was signed to universal music as a writer few years later.. I have been mixing and mastering for the last 10 years.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be clear in what you want from your song, sonically especially.. maybe provide some commercial references that sound similar to your project
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Neve 1073, Tube Tech CLB 1, Sony C800g, Mac Book pro, Adam Audio Monitors.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: very Rnb with a hint of pop.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Ariana Grande or Justin Bieber would be cool.. I think my vibe and vision musically would be well suited to either of these artists. Plus I love their work.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Study, study, study the music of your favourite producers, and the music you want to produce..
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Urban, Pop, Rap..
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My "experience" of having mixed and mastered so many songs in different genres over 2 decades.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring many years of experience to the table which have enabled me to gain the skills and trust in my ability when making decisions during the mixing or mastering process.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When mixing and mastering I like to take time to listen thoroughly to the song or songs i'm about to work on, I also like to establish what the clients desires and expectations are for each track before I start.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work mainly hybrid, using mixture of both digital and analogue equipment.

A: I would say people like Max Martin, Chris Brown, Serban Ghenea.
