I mix songs to hit hard, feel real, and sound big on every system. Hey, I’m Jasper — a trained audio engineer who’s all about helping artists get mixes that actually feel like the music they hear in their heads. I mostly work with rock, metal, and alt stuff, but I’m down to mix anything with heart and energy.
I'm a trained audio engineer with a diploma in audio production and real-world experience working professionally as an event technician. I’ve spent the past few years around live sound, studio setups, and all kinds of music, and now I’m focused on mixing and producing for artists who want their tracks to sound powerful, clean, and emotionally real.
I also come from a lifelong background in playing and writing music, rooted in my time growing up around the rich musical culture of New Orleans. That early influence gave me a deep feel for groove, tone, and expression — and I bring that same musical instinct into every mix.
Alongside mixing for others, I also write and produce my own music under the name Jasper Maxx, which keeps me sharp, creative, and constantly experimenting with new sounds and ideas.
Whether it’s polishing a demo, building a full mix, or helping shape your sound, I’m here to bring technical skill and creative care to your music.

Interview with JasprAudio
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I am especially proud of my single called "Ascend." This song is a great showcase of my abilities since I wrote, recorded/played , edited, mixed and mastered all aspects of it. Despite many challenges along the way, I met the deadline I set for myself, which was 2 months and am quite happy with the results. The song is in my SoundBetter profile. Have a listen!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently Mastering a few projects for Techno DJs in Germany in order to expand my skills to different genres of music and build a solid portfolio.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to give each project 100% of my ability because it is important to me that the service I'm delivering is held to a high standard. I will continue to grow every day and learn to apply my knowledge in new ways so that your track is mixed to the absolute best of my ability.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like the balance between being creative with mixes and applying my knowledge of physics and electronics to create the sound the client wants.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception about what I do is that without expensive and rare Hardware you are unable to mix at a professional level. When the knowledge of acoustics, frequency spectrum and effects is there, the sound of a song can be shaped in any way imaginable and I enjoy using my knowledge and creativity to push myself to deliver high quality audio that fits my customers' needs
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Something that I always find important to ask prospective clients is what is the main emotion that should shine through in the song. Many different mixing approaches that I've used have resulted in different feelings and emotions in the song that I can apply in a targeted manner. Once I know what the main message or emotion of the track is I can make it shine through.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Find somebody who has a similar vibe to what you're looking for. Many people are able to mix a lot of different music at an intermediate level, but usually Engineers will have one genre/vibe that they really feel for and will bring a different energy to that genre.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Gibson ES335, Marshall Bluesbreaker, Crustache Fuzz/Delay, SM58 and a PA so that I can keep myself occupied with writing and playing.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Silly Goose
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I mainly have worked in the Metal/Alt.Rock direction in terms of mixing, but also have interest to expand that range. I always will accept a new challenge and turn it out to the best of my abilities.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill in the mixing process is my ability to balance songs well and have all instruments blend well together. When mixing with a reference track, I have developed the skill to analyze and implement its frequency spectrum into the mix im making.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring punchy drums, A clean, but impactful tone, layered guitars and overall a wide, dynamic mix.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When Mixing a song I try to be as organized and as goal oriented as possible. I like having a concrete Idea in my head of how this song will be mixed before I even start the session. Typically I request a reference track that I can analyze before I touch the song I've been hired to mix.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am heavily inspired by Tom Morello's Guitar playing due to its creative nature. I try to bring my own ideas into writing and mixing music, using out of the box thinking to make a track as unique as possible. Another Inspiration on the Production side of things is Butch Vig's production because of the Raw sounding mixes, with a crisp cleanness as well.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I've supported many musicians throughout the entire music production process — from recording sessions and sound design to mixing and mastering. My main focus is mixing, but I also offer creative sound design elements, write instrumental parts, and contribute lyrics when needed to help bring the artist’s vision to life.
