Mastering Engineer

If you’re looking for someone who will go the extra mile, look no further. John is my go-to when I’m referring clients to a new mastering engineer as I’ve seen him beautifully handle electronic, pop, folk, and rock tracks all with the highest quality standard.

He is intentional about all the technical moves he makes but still finds a way to bring out the emotion that the track has to offer. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any artist!

John is an excellent mastering engineer bar none. He combines his sensitivity for technicality with an artistic and creative approach that is very hard to find. Working with John on my artist's latest release was an extremely pleasant experience. Not only did John knock it out of the park, but he was very fun and easy to work with. Working with John on my most recent batch of releases was such a joy! John was able to execute at a very high level while maintaining an exceptionally quick turnaround time. Aside from the work itself, what truly stood out to me were John’s inherent understanding of the direction/tone of the project, his fast communication, and his enthusiasm and warmth throughout the entire process. John was originally slated to only master our project, but due to our loss of a separate audio engineer, he quickly hopped on to mix the project as well. In both cases, John showed a high level of skill in his own craft, and genuine compassion in helping us along the way. He was passionate about the work--treating our album like a project of his own--and was excellent in communication (he was patient and enthusiastic in teaching us new things, us being new to music production ourselves). I already have him slated to master my next project. I recommend John Osborn to any and everyone.

Working with John is both enjoyable and remarkably productive, whether in person or remotely. As an orchestrator/arranger, it's exhilarating to collaborate with an engineer who not only comprehends the musical terminology I use every day, but also has a critical ear that brings out intricate nuances in every recording that can so easily get lost in the recording process.

It gets harder to find passionate, legitimate, skilled and thoughtful musicians, engineers and audiophiles in the independent music space today, especially remotely. John embodies all of these qualities.
After meeting through social media, we quickly were working on one of my songs. He is enthusiastic about multiple genres and open to all feedback and meshes this from the artist with his own skill and ear. He made my vocals mesh perfectly with the instrumental parts. He worked efficiently and provided multiple versions of the masters after doing multiple revisions over 48 hours. Hire Him!

I could not be happier after working with John! His masters perfectly captured the vibe I was going for with my tracks. Not only was the final product exactly what i was looking for, but he also took the time to walk me through what he had done to achieve the result, which helped build my own confidence in the other projects I am working on. Our mixer suggested using John for mastering and boy did he improve our track. John took it from sounding like a fun recreational project to extremely professional. We’re yet to try anyone else for mastering and don’t plan on it so long as John’s in the industry!
