I Run my own Studio with 3 Control Rooms, a large Recording Room, a Neumann Mixing Desk and a immersive Dolby Atmos Mixing Suite. I offer all kinds of Services related to create good Music. Recording, editing, mixing, Postsproduction and the like...
I mix mainly in a hybrid setup with PT HDX and the Neumann Desk and love to use analog gear!

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Uh, the last one was the Song 'Friends will be Friends' from Queen for the EU Elections. Roughly 26 different Artist from 26 different Countries contributed a vocal Part. I recorded the Playback and mixed the Song with all these Artists. Then it needed to be approved by Brian May, who really liked it! That was big fun and not much sleep...
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Mixing a Rock Record and doing some Dolby Atmos mixes, teaching Students...
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: not now...
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Hybrid. Because I get the best results with that workflow. Somethings you can't do digital, and some things you can't do analog...
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Ill do my best to help your music!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Working with People! making good music and helping the Artists to reach their artistical vision...
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Fix everything in the Mix...
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Oh, 5 is a lot. definitely the IB2´s, Distressor, GainBrain, Capi BT50, Quantec QRS...
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started in a big Recording Studio as a tea boy and had the opportunity to work with a lot of great engineers. That was around 2001... Since the I worked in a lot of different Studios across Europe, and finally I got my own Studio since 2016
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would like to work with Beck. I really like his songwriting and his approach to good Sound! (... of course there are many others...)
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Make the Music you like, and not what you think that others may like... Name your tracks! :-) Make decisions. Have fun making music...
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: All different kinds of Music. Singer/Songwriter, Pop, Rock, Independent Music...
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Being reliable, honest, catching the Artists Vision (I always try) and deliver in time. Always trying to enhance the emotion and Sound of a Song...
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Lift it to another level to get close as possible to the Artist vision and create a nice little Journey throughout the Song...
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Make a good coffee and start doing great Music with the Artists Vision in my mind...:-)
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: The Heart of the Studio is the Rare Neumann Mixing Desk surrounded by a lot of vintage, and state of the art analog (and sometimes digital) Equipment. The Main Monitors are PMC IB2s powered by custom made Hypex Amps. It is optimised for a hybrid workflow to get good results quickly and being flexible at the same time.
