Hi there! I’m Sarah, a singer/songwriter with a passion for making music! I’d love to help you with lyrics, melody or put down vocals on your project. I’m a lady of many coats, from hard rock to trance and everything in between!

I have a pretty unique tone to my voice and love playing with sounds! I specialize in acoustic folk, haunting vocals, harmonies and leads.
I’ve recorded with bands and as a solo artist, I’ve even written a few radio jingles! I’m always excited about new projects and put my all in to everything I’m involved in.

Endorse Sarah NeedhamSarah is an absolute joy to work with. Her infectious spirit, along with her seasoned experience with multiple genres and styles of music means there’s never a dull moment in collaboration. I have no idea why she hasn’t been signed to a major label yet, as she is truly a treasure worth the hunt; a talent that MUST be discovered! You’re in for a treat if you get the chance to listen to any of the songs she’s written herself. They could easily be on the radio TODAY!
Sarah is such a talent, I've really enjoyed working with her, communication was perfect and I find her creativity has greatly enhanced each song. I was blown away with her unique take on music, and the beauty in her voice. I highly recommend Sarah for your next project!
Sarah has a voice that can transcend through any genre and that has incredible range. Her sets usually have a great mix of catchy hits throughout the decades. But my favorite style are the rock ballards she can effortlessly perform.
What a sensitive committed talent. Working with Sarah was so easy, once the ball got rolling, Sarah brought so many interesting ideas and vocal arrangements to the concept. Would definitely work with her again!

Interview with Sarah Needham
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: At the moment I’m working on my own acoustic EP, I’m a team player so I’m most definitely looking to collaborate with other artists or producers on their projects!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Most definitely! Ryan McClanahan is a brilliant talent and an absolute joy to work with. His musical understanding is out of this world. Tom Bailey is maybe the most talented producer and musician I’ve ever come across. His work is never anything less than brilliant!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love that I get to tell stories through my songs and voice. Humanity is based on people telling stories so lets make history!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: It’s actually alot more work than you might think! But… are you really working if you love what you do?? I believe not!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What do you want to feel when you listen to your track? How do you want others to feel? Do you want a cup of tea?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Like I said, music is a feeling for me, So I would recommend that whoever you choose to work with, you “feel” each other and understand exactly where you want to take your music.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I’d be fine with just my guitar, a pen and paper! I’m old school!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember! Writing songs has always been an escape for me and a way to be heard. Over the last 20 years, I’ve played all over Europe with different bands as lead vocalist, I’ve written and recorded 2 self produced albums, collaborated with various artists on their work and been lucky enough to have heard my songs featured on various different independent albums.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I’d describe my style as folk with an edge.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: There are SO many! But… I most definitely have a preference, I would LOVE to sit down with Ray Lamontage and see what we could make. His tone and lyrics are borderline perfect in my opinion!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Normally acoustic folk music, short Irish folk/rock with a story!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I would say my voice and the feeling I put in to my lyrics.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring my all to everything I work on. My voice and it’s unique tone are guaranteed to make your song memorable and different.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to first put heads together! Make sure I understand exactly what my client wants. I usually hear a melody in my head and run with lyrics straight away! I love to improvise and see what raw sounds I can get, then grow a song into well…. Wherever our musical imagination takes us!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by almost everything! Music to me, is a feeling. Having been brought up in Spain I’ve been lucky to be in the midst of Flamenco singers like Camaron de la isla and Classical guitarists like Paco de Lucia. The feeling in that kind of music inspires me when I write and sing all other genres. I want to make listeners feel something! Lisa Hannigan is a huge inspiration to my sound.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Normally when I work with people, they’re looking for me to add vocals and or lyrics to their tracks.
