Interview with Bella Raee
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I once worked with a French speaking singer as a background vocalist and added some adlibs to the project. I am especially proud of this because when he reached out to me, he did so in French. I couldn’t understand the chat so I had to use Google translate to understand everything he was saying and I asked him to do the same so we could be on the same page. I had told him I had no understanding of French language but we could still make things work since it’s music. I had him send a number of voice notes speaking what I was meant to sing so that it could be as original as possible. In 3 days, we both came up with a master piece. I really sang the chorus, harmonies and adlibs with all my soul and he was almost convinced I was a native speaker. I even got a tip for this work and a stellar review. I was really proud of myself cause it just showed me that music has no boundaries and that with my voice, I can do anything.
