Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: I am finishing the mixes of a live show in a stadium (movistar arena) of a great artist from my country Alejandro Lerner.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Today it has been shown that digital has reached a level where the difference with analog is almost not noticeable, or at least it does not justify how difficult it is to work with analog compared to digital. Today working digitally, in the box, allows flexibility, dynamism, freedom and music is about that.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: I will get it right for you.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: I get to make music everyday & make other people's visions come to life. Music is my life I am blessed to be able to get up every day and do what I love..

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Take your work seriously and do it with love. I love working with artists with passion for what they do.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: Laptop, Sound Card, Keyboard, Guitar, Headphones.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I started as an assistant in one of the most important recording studios in my country, there I learned from great artists, then I was able to grow and expand and I started working as a mixing engineer, today I already have my own production company with which I work as a Producer, mixing and mastering engineer, remixing and other areas. I have been in this for more than 17 years.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: I know it's not possible, but The Beatles, it would have been a totally incredible experience.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: I usually work a lot with urban and modern music, Reggaeton, Trap, HipHop, Pop Rock, and also a lot of Rock.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: A musical approach to produce and mix. Plus having been fortunate to work on so many productions and mixes, a quick turnaround!

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: I try to be as faithful to the original as possible, whilst keeping an eye on what will work commercially.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: It depends on what the job is, it always begins by understanding what the client wants, what they need and how I can contribute from my place to elevate their project.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: I am lucky to have an excellent mixing studio. where I work every day, producing and mixing. In my studio I have an Apollo Uad Octo system. an apollo rack quad and an apollo twin quad, Avid Omni Hd, I have all the UAD plugins at my disposal, I also have analog equipment, such as the UAD 610 preamp, and the UAD 1176 Compressor, ADAM A77x monitoring, Beyerdynamic 1770 Pro, Mixer SSL UF8, SSL UC1, work with Avid Pro Tools, Kemper, Arturia Keyboards, Komplete, Akai, Presonus, Gibson Guitars, Fender, Paul Reed Smith, Schetcher etc.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: I started listening to The Beatles, Beachboys, Creedence, Rolling Stones, that was my base, then I went through a Punk Rock era in the 90s where bands like Green day, Blink 182, The offspring inspired much of that era, later I started listening everything I could, and I started working on more modern music, to get to urban music, trap, hiphop, reggaeton, EDM, etc. I can say that nowadays music in general inspires me. one of my favorite mixing engineers is Chris Lord Alge, who I was lucky enough to study, meet and mix with.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: Usually my work tends to fall into mastering mix, and music production. This implies that many times my clients come with ideas that we later develop together, I usually record all the instruments to put together a good production, also some clients already come with a produced work and only require my mixing or mastering services. Another of the jobs that I do a lot is to recreate and copy songs, I usually produce and record each instrument to achieve an instrumental identical to the original. also some remix and composition works.
