Demut is a DJ, producer and musician from Barcelona with one obsession: music. He has treasured a long experience behind the mixing tables, performing in Spanish stages and music festivals. Dance music with bass and electronic pop influences are his musical print. Engineer of Sound by the School of Girona Eumes. Actually studying mixing and mastering from the school of the great Luca Petrolesi.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Everything I did in my life of DJ because it was a good evolution path and I learned a lot. I had bad moments, but you learn, and you advance, I think it's the nice thing of the path.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Ghost Producing and DJ in Barcelona
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Actually not.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital right now the difference in 2023 it's minium. Ten years ago for sure was analog but our days the digital it's incredible.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: The best sound possible.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Everything but for sure mixing

A: How to get the exact sound of the artist they admirer. Select the rights sounds
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Gain Staging
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are they looking of the song? Label or self release? It's important to check any song or intention of the production
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: In my experience, select one he always said the truth, because so many engineer of sound only look to make the job and the money, but sometimes depends on the production and little changes to make the song incredible.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Computer, Focusrite, Headphones, microphone, monitor
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I was study on a school of sound in Eumes Girona, Spain. And I have been doing this for 8 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style it's try to sound exactly how the client wants in every moment
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: John Summit because I saw his three videos on YouTube, and it blows my mind, I can't imagine how it's going to be with him four hours in the studio
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: The most important thing is selection the right sound or samples for any song that you will make, no depends of the style it depends on your ear and what it's need in any production.

A: All the genres of House Music

A: Mixing
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Depends on the style and what the client looking for, but in generally best sound in all the devices you can imagine. For sure, I will put your track to the next level.
