Interview with Jacobias

  1. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  2. A: My studio is powered by a custom‑built Windows PC running an Intel Ultra 7 265K with 32GB of RAM, loaded with Ableton Live, Pro Tools and FL Studio. I work with a wide range of software libraries, including Native Instruments. Monitoring is handled through Presonus studio monitors, paired with Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X and DT 700 Pro X headphones. For recording, I use a Behringer B2‑Pro condenser mic.

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: I naturally gravitate toward digital tools — it’s the world I grew up in, and the speed, flexibility, and accessibility of digital workflows easily surpass what analog can offer.

  5. Q: What's your typical work process?

  6. A: I always begin by understanding the artist’s vision for the final track. Once that’s clear, I work in a focused and structured way to bring that vision to life with precision and efficiency

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: Make sure the provider understands your needs and is willing to get the result you desire.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: Bringing songs to life.

  11. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  12. A: Honesty and dedication.

  13. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  14. A: Never stop learning.

  15. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  16. A: Grime, Drill, Trap, R&B, Pop and Soft Rock.

  17. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  18. A: My strongest skill is my attention to detail.

  19. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  20. A: I aim to bring professional quality and originality to every track I work on, ensuring each project stands out with its own identity.

  21. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  22. A: Artists like Kendrick Lamar, Dave and Eminem inspire me creatively with their technical precision and songwriting. On the production side, Dr. Dre, DJ Khalil, Sounwave, Noah "40" Shebib, JAE5 and Focus… inspire me with their sonic identity and attention to detail.

  23. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  24. A: I specialise in mixing and mastering, helping artists transform raw recordings into release‑ready tracks. I also produce and record artists across a wide range of genres, helping shape each project from the first idea to the final master.
