Jonah is an absolute go-to musician in the Vancouver music scene. His credits and reviews speak for themselves, he's a fantastic human, great musician and very easy to work with. I hired Jonah specifically for his cello work on a few tracks. He was professional, knew just what to do, and had great creative input on how to serve the song well. Can't wait to work with him again!

Jonah is a fantastic musician and great human, highly capable on many different instruments and in many different genres. Rock solid rhythm with tons of creative melodic and chordal ideas. Would highly recommend as a person to have on almost any musical team, be it a live band, a studio session musician or production assistance.

He is also in my all-time top 5 people to jam with if you're keen on making some improvised music!

Jonah is a legend in the Vancouver music scene! I had the honor of having him on my VIFF gig, and he was an incredible asset to the show. Not only did he quickly transpose the keys of my songs on the spot backstage right before the set (and with zero complaint or hesitation), but he also slayed it on stage and went with the flow like a pro when I messed up one of the songs ! I've known Jonah as a musician for nearly a decade now. Throughout the years every single project Jonah has been a part of has received praise and recognition throughout the music community here in Vancouver and as I understand it now, across Canada. Jonah is a very skilled multi-instrumentalist and will likely get more and more recognition for his solo work, so I recommend getting him in as a session musician while you can.

Very lyrical and melodic playing with a strong proficiency with vocals, guitar, bass, cello. These alone do not make for a great session player but the ability to know what to play when and how to fit into the vision and add to it makes him an absolute weapon on stage or in the studio. He possesses strong songwriting and production abilities while seamlessly being able to be playful and professional. Also you could just hire him to hang out and it would be worth your dollar, but! Don’t take it from me, hire him yourself and discover the Jonah Ocean experience.
