My field of expertise is groovy, funky music, soul, blues, jazz and alternative rock, but my love for music spreads much wider than that. I produce a variety of genres of music, from hip hop/ R&B / trap beats, singer songwriter instrumentals, rock, funk, pop, and even cinematic film scores.
I am a guitarist/ bass player, singer, songwriter, music producer, mix and master engineer and sound designer. I love to be in the studio recording and I devote my heart and soul to whatever song I have to work with. I work with Logic Pro, Cubase and Ableton Live (a little bit with Pro Tools as well). I have worked in a music studio in Berlin, where I recorded and produced albums and singles for artists and clients.

Interview with Momma T
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I am a self-taught musician and been playing since I was about 11. Played in bands, doing live shows ever since I was about 15, and from age 19 decided to pursue music production and recording. Studied Music Production in a private school in Lisbon, earned a merit scholarship to intern in a music studio in Berlin, where I worked and learned a lot doing recording, live shows, mixing and mastering. Working as a freelance music producer/engineer for little over a year and I've been having success working with all sorts of genres and artists.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Real funky and soulful, lots of groove and sensitivity for lots of different genres
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Funk, soul, neo-soul, RnB, hip hop, trap pop, blues/rock, singer/songwriter, alternative, film scores and game music
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My setup is simple but effective: I record through a Soundcraft mixer, have some AKG dynamic microphones and an SE X1 condenser mic for vocals. I monitor with Presonus monitors, on my Macbook on which I have Logic Pro, Cubase and Ableton Live and a whole bunch of software, virtual instruments and plugins like Waves, FabFilter, Soundtoys and many others. In terms of gear I have Fender amps (bass and guitar), a Gretsch electric guitar, vintage Yamaha 12 string guitar, acoustic Takamine guitar, a Marcus Miller signature bass, as well as a legendary Hofner bass, and a fender Telecaster. I also have several pedals, TC electronic, compressors, blues driver, Crybaby Wah, Vocoder and more.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mostly record instruments for songs - guitar, bass or vocals, produce, make beats and instrumentals, as well do editing, mixing and mastering.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A funky, low-down dirty feeling! I'm passionate as can be, and I growl and howl and hustle to the bone to get the sound I want and that the client wants.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Performing live, playing really funky blues guitar and singing my lungs out to entretain and move a crowd. But I'm great in the studio too!!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Simplicity goes a long way
