Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Guitar, laptop, solar power bank, a usb interface. And a microphone.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always add layers to your tracks this way you’re able to pan them and get a full stereo sound. Don’t duplicate the tracks and just pan them left and right! It will not give you the stereo sound. It will only make the track louder
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rock, alternative, pop punk, hard rock, acoustic.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I really like to go for a full stereo sound. I fed it makes the songs pop a lot more.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually start off with drums when I’m starting a new song. Then I move to guitar and bass. I usually do a lot of guitar takes so I can choose to layer them if necessary. Vocals are usually the last thing I do. Again I usually do alot of takes for vocals so I can choose to layer them if needed. Once I have everything recorded I move on to the mixing process.deciding what needs to be changed or added. Once I’m complete with that I move on to the mastering process.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a home studio with a recording booth, E drums, various guitars. I studio studio one as my DAW with various plugins that are super helpful.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Green Day, My chemical Romance, all time low, Pierce the vail I am very Influenced by a lot of pop punk / alternative bands.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I work with clients on Mixing and mastering, songwriting. And also fill in to record instruments on tracks.
