Hamza Beats on SoundBetter

Hi I'm Hamza. I'm a professional music producer, vocal producer and audio engineer. I'm here to help you build the record of your dreams. Relying on my years of experience as music producer in LA, I'll try my best to highlight your artistry, and listen to your needs, and make songs you'll be proud to show to the world. Let's get to work !

From my earliest memories, music has been my passion. I began my career in the industry as one half of the Pop EDM duo, Dawn & Prax, before moving to Los Angeles where I discovered my calling to help singers and songwriters achieve their fullest potential.

With extensive training in music production, recording, mixing, and mastering, as well as mentorship from the industry's leading professionals, I have acquired a wealth of experience and knowledge that I am excited to share with you. As your teammate, I am fully committed to your success and satisfaction, and I am available to support you around the clock.

My services include producing top-40 Pop, EDM-Pop, Rap, and RnB tracks, providing expert vocal tuning and timing, and delivering polished mixes and mastering for a range of genres. You can trust that I will provide you with clear pricing and deadlines upfront and that I will never sugarcoat or mislead you. If I don't feel I am the right fit for your project, I will be upfront and work to connect you with someone who can help.

I am pleased to offer five (5) free revisions and encourage you to provide me with honest feedback so we can achieve the best possible results together. Let's collaborate and make great music!

Interview with Hamza Beats

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My Dawn & Prax project. It's my artist project, besides the big number of streams, getting messages from people telling me that my music made their day better is the fucking best.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm developing a lot of up and coming artist, I'm also working on some interesting sync and licensing projects.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Austin Leeds who's an amazing mastering engineer I worked with a lot in my EDM producer days.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Mostly digital, because with today's plugin emulation you get a sound really close to the analog stuff. However I like to use my SSL console to finalize mixes, it gives it a certains warmth and width that only analog has.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I give everything I have on each project, and I never make it about myself, it's always about YOU !

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Having to be a different producer for each artist I work with and adapt for every new client. It keeps on my tows and I'm never bored.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Customers often ask me how do they find their sound and be unique, and I like to tell them to not think too much about it and just be themselves and trust their TASTE. TASTE is everything in the music business.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That production is only one skill, it's a combination of skills : playing instruments, recording, arrangement, sound design, drum programming, music theory, ear training, mixing, mastering.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: I wanna know first and foremost what do they want to talk about. I also ask them to give me a handful of songs they like to listen to. I like going back and forth with different demos for them to get a product as close as possible to their vision

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Find someone who's gonna understand your artistic vision and who's gonna take the time to listen.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: My computer, my headphones, my Apollo, my SM7B, and Ableton Live 11.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I've been producing music for the last 10 years. I started by horning my craft, and then releasing songs under the moniker Dawn & Prax, where I gained millions of streams and got releases with the biggest record labels in the industry. I'm now focused on artist development, and finding the pop stars of tomorrow.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: I like to see my music as super busy but also empty at the same time. I always try to find the balance between both combining the sound design skills I got from my EDM producer career and the arrangement cleverness I learned producing with pop artists

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Artists that change the world and the musical landscape like Lil Nas X for exemple.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Music is all about dynamics, subtle changes in volume, stereo field and frequency spectrum do way more to a song than stacking sounds on top of each others.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I usually produce Pop music but I have a lot of experience EDM, Rap and RnB.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Definitely my ear training. I almost have perfect pitch and also have a really good ear for frequencies and dynamics in a song and that helps identify and solve issues in a song really fast.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I grew up listening to classical music and jazz and I've been heavily influenced by EDM and Pop Music during my adult life. I've studied Music Production and Audio Engineering in the best school in LA (Icon Collective). The mix between my influences and all the knowledge I gained from my studies is what enhances my productions comparing to others.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: A great song comes from a great songwriting. My job as a producer is to enhance the song the artist wants to bring to life but still find subtle and original sounds that are gonna keep the listener's interest while he's listening to the music.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I have access to huge profesionnal studio in LA with a SSL XL Console and big ADAM speakers, I have a Macbook M1 Pro, and almost all the plugins you can imagine.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: As a music lover the work of Selena Gomez, Kanye West, Skrillex... had a huge inspiration on me. As a producer people like Ian Kirkpatrick or Finneas inspired me a lot

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I usually help my clients from the first steps of production to the final mix and master. They can give me an original demo or I provide a homemade loop they can write. From then we follow each step of the production process going back and forth on different options until we get the final result that makes the client happy.
