I strive to be a chameleon. You wouldn't dress the same way at a fancy job interview as you would at a rock show. Similarly I wouldn't play the same way at a rock show as I would at the cocktail hour of a wedding. My goal is to make the music speak for itself, not to inject myself into the music.
Hi, I'm Joe. I've been playing music professionally since around 2011. I play keyboards, drum set, vibraphone, and other percussion instruments, and have been lucky to have had the opportunity play in a large variety of settings. Currently, I play keyboards often in a pop setting, and vibraphone in a latin jazz setting. I have also played drum set in pop, rock, r&b, hip-hop, folk and jazz settings, vibraphone in jazz, bossa nova, salsa, and pop settings, and keyboards in church settings. I have played percussion in a classical orchestra setting as well. I learn music both by ear and through reading.
