ABOUT ME:
I built my band from the ground up, signed to a label for hundreds of thousands of dollars, sold out shows touring the world, played latenight TV, all the major festivals, recorded at Abbey Road and countless other studios.
I have worked with Nicotine Dolls, Death Cab For Cutie, Augustines, Brian Fallon, Wild Rivers, Somebody’s Child, The Moth and The Flame and many more as a producer, mixer, musician, and engineer.
I own and operate Harbor Studios in Brooklyn, NY, a fully outfitted 2000 square foot studio with stunning views of the Statue of Liberty and NY Harbor.
WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOU:
If you need a bassline composed, performed, and recorded, I can deliver.
If you have a song and need it to get to the next level, I can work as a producer. I’m an expert in hearing music (whether it’s a voice memo or a fully developed multitrack) and honing in on the key aspects needed to elevate the track.
I have a vast network of world-class musicians and engineers to call on and I’m also fully capable with bass, drums, guitar, synths, and piano.
If all you need is vocal tuning, editing, quantizing, or other processing I’m here for you.
Lastly, I’m a finisher. I’ve mixed and mastered songs on the Billboard charts with tens of millions of streams. You can trust I’ll deliver what you’re after.

Eric has a fantastically curious and exploratory approach as an engineer and producer. He is intuitive and so talented, and thanks to his musical instincts and ideas the track we worked on together sounds so much fuller and more incredible than I ever envisioned it on my own. Looking forward to making more with him!
Hello,
Just wanted to leave some thoughts here on Eric. I’ve been playing music with Eric for 24 years, And he has been a part of every record I’ve ever put out going back to 2004.
At the risk of sounding like an overflowing well of pride here, Bluntly put the world is lucky to play with the guy. It is a privilege to have been on stages all around the world, tour buses and studios abroad or here in America. You would be hard-pressed to find somebody as transformative. And along with music you get a compassionate humanitarian and very responsible man that just wants good for the world.-BMI first met Eric whilst supporting his bad We Are Augustines on their UK tour and was compelled by his live musicianship and stage craft. Since then I have been very influenced by his production and arrangement on the studio side of music. He is an exceptionally talented composer and an empathetic collaborator, providing an open creative space where both artists and their music can come to life.

Eric is a phenomenally talented, kind, and calm presence in the studio and in the world. He asks curious questions and genuinely listens. The kind of collaborator we could all aspire to be:)
Eric is the kindest, most thoughtful person and a true artist. People are lucky to get to work with him.
Eric is and extremely kind and thoughtful human. His talent as a musician and composer have taken him to the highest parts of the music industry. When you work with him you get his complete attention and focus. To be great you must put in the work... Eric does this day in and day out.
Eric is an amazing producer. He is creative and daring, while at the same time exacting and careful not to force change where it’s not needed. He is a true artist and respects everyone he works with as such. There is no ego when working with him. He really listens to you and wants to see your vision come to life. Working with Eric is a true collaboration, he provides a kind, generous and nurturing environment. He just listens to you and your music and makes art happen. The location is also incredibly beautiful, especially at sunset, absolutely magical.
Eric brings an unmatched level of creativity, insight and skill to his work. Whether you’re recording or mixing a song, an album or just a track, he will help your take your music to the next level. I’ve personally referred several artists to his studio.
Eric is a true musician in every aspect the creative process. His extraordinarily impressive knowledge for the technical side of recording and production is only outshined by his heart and soul as a wonderful human being and talent for writing, creating, and producing music. He’s a joy to be around and makes any room he’s in, and any team he’s working with, better.
As soon as you walk into Red Hook Recording Studio, you feel inspired by both the room and warm soul of Producer/Engineer Eric E. Sanderson. It’s a place you want to be in and create something special. Eric balances his craft for recording and artistry that truly motivates you to tap into something new. A multiinstrumentalist and songwriter himself, Eric’s emotive understanding allows any artist to feel comfortable, confident and in a safe place for creating.

I’ve played in bands and toured with Eric and he is the best! You won’t meet a nicer and more mellow guy. He has vast knowledge not only of live production, but also experience with live automation and performance tools. I guess the only “downside” is knowing that whatever instrument I’m playing he could play it better!

I have had the pleasure of working with Eric Sanderson the last 25 years. We have shared a stage together and also worked countless hours in the studio. Eric‘s patients, knowledge and musicianship all player role in his producing and engineering of all types of music. It has always been and always will be a pleasure to work with Eric, a professional, and a true gentleman.
I simply would not have been able to finish my Prince of Blue project without his help, guidance, and expertises. He has great temperament, fantastic musicianship, and great taste. Couldn’t ask for anything more!
And to boot… his studio is one of the coolest spaces in New York City.
